La difesa dei ministri Abodi e Salvini che negli ultimi giorni hanno blindato la partita Italia-Israele in programma a Udine il 14 ottobre non è che un tassello, e nemmeno il più grave, del sostegno del governo italiano a Israele, che resta incrollabile.
Non il più grave, perché l’Italia non ha intenzione di smettere di inviare armi a Israele, nonostante le vuote e tardive dichiarazioni di Meloni su Israele che avrebbe “superato ogni limite”. Forse Meloni e i suoi ministri non si rendono conto che questo limite, se mai è esistito, è stato superato con la complicità dell’Italia, della sua politica estera e dei suoi voti e astensioni in Europa.
Eppure, mentre le vittime palestinesi continuano a crescere di giorno in giorno, mentre Gaza è ridotta in macerie e le code per il cibo sono solo delle trappole per sparare sulla popolazione ridotta alla fame, che il calcio vada avanti come se nulla fosse è particolarmente inaccettabile. Che lo sport sia ridotto a strumento di propaganda e di normalizzazione del genocidio è insopportabile, e che succeda a casa nostra, nei nostri stadi, è intollerabile.

All’inizio di agosto è stato ucciso mentre era in coda per il cibo il più famoso calciatore palestinese, Suleiman Al Obeid, soprannominato il Pelè palestinese. La sua famiglia e tutta la popolazione palestinese sopravvivono giorno per giorno in condizioni insostenibili: giocare questa partita è un’offesa alla memoria delle vittime, alla giustizia e allo sport stesso.
Se nonostante le richieste della politica, della cittadinanza, dell’AIAC (Associazione Italiana Allenatori Calcio) la partita si giocherà lo stesso, il 14 ottobre saremo in piazza a Udine alla manifestazione di protesta, organizzata dal Comitato per la Palestina di Udine, della Comunità Palestinese del Friuli e del Veneto, da Salaam Ragazzi dell’Olivo e da Calcio e Rivoluzione, a cui hanno già aderito più di 200 associazioni per dire ancora una volta no sport-washing e stop al genocidio.

Der größte Fehler, den linke Parteien im Bundestagswahlkampf im kommenden Jahr (nach dem Platzen der Koalition) begehen könnten, wäre, sich ausschließlich als Verteidiger der Demokratie zu inszenieren und dabei inflationär mit Faschismus-Begriffen zu argumentieren. Für viele Wählerinnen und Wähler spielt das keine Rolle. Die wichtigste Lehre aus dem Wahlkampf von Biden und Harris lautet: Appelle an die "Demokratie" allein überzeugen nicht. Auch die AfD gibt sich als Verteidiger der Demokratie. Die AfD wird gewählt, weil sie als radikaler Bruch mit dem Status quo wahrgenommen wird.
Wenn demokratische Parteien den Status quo lediglich verteidigen, können sie diesen Wettbewerb nicht gewinnen. Erfolgreich werden sie nur dann sein, wenn sie selbst glaubwürdig für einen grundlegenden Wandel stehen. Konkret für eine Abkehr vom Neoliberalismus und eine Rückkehr zu einer sozialen Marktwirtschaft. Ob Grüne und SPD diesen Schritt vollziehen werden, darf bezweifelt werden. Aber ohne eine solche Neuausrichtung bleibt ihre Erfolgsaussicht gering.

As I'm finding my way back to active duty in postmarketOS, I'm yet again concluding that I just can't handle maintaining a kernel fork anymore with no upstream in sight.
So this is yet another call for someone to take over rebasing and updating the SDM845 kernel. I'm happy to help deal with regressions, but I'm spending so much of my time lately working on tooling and U-Boot, something has to give and that has been the kernel maintenance.
Joel has done a great job at helping out (and hopefully will continue to do so!) but we're lacking someone to deal with regular updates, get all the devices tested, etc...
If this is something you're interested in and you have some relevant experience please let me know! so many folks are relying on SDM845 devices for their Linux Mobile use or development, so providing some kind of relatively stable platform is pretty important...
Not looking for any xz style maintainers, thanks!

This afternoon's 10–15W SSB #POTA #HamRadio activation. Three QSOs on 15m including Dominican Republic. Then when I needed just one more QSO to successfully activate US-4857 for my first time, I got Germany with a 33 signal report on 15W. ❤️ Most of the QSOs were on only 10W.
All this on my home made inverted V linked dipole pulled up into a tree.
It was a gorgeous day to sit outside under the trees. Despite being August in North Carolina, the temperature was reasonable and it wasn't too humid. I can't wait for a fall filled with POTA activations and ham public service driving around helping with communications at bicycle races.
I celebrated a day off work today in part by doing #POTA. I finally activated the park closest to my house — a short ten minute drive away. This time, using a measly 5W on CW, into a wire thrown up into a tree (40m EFHW), in a low area next to a stream because that's where the park is.
I needed just one more QSO to successfully activate, and then got a 539 signal report from a patient hunter in Sweden. Patient in particular because I had only one contact outside the east US, and thought I'd copied poorly. I was so confused that I sent SRI CALL AGN? before I realized what I was hearing.
I'm still a CW greenhorn, and some of the other operators also had to be a little patient. I ran 15WPM. I don't think anyone was running much over 20WPM calling back, and with a few ? and AGN? for some repeats, I got through without having to request QRS. I hope by the end of the year to run 20WPM comfortably, including handling pileups.
