There's a bit of commotion on Lobsters because an unpleasant-but-technically-correct user finally got banned, and I realized that an unpopular opinion of mine is that moderators are always right.
I don't care about the letter of the CoC. I don't care about transparency, even. Moderation is the fundamentally human and nuanced big-picture job that shapes a community.

don‘t know the details, but „technically correct“ is not a criteria in fedi moderation.
It‘s the immune system of an instance. No fixed rules make it stronger and save a lot of energy.
This has worked quite well for multi-cellular organisms so far.

Russian Telegram channels report a large fire at Balashikha, Moscow.
It is reported that warehouses belonging to the Balashikha Experimental Chemical Plant and the TDK company, which distributes household chemicals, have caught fire. Because of this, the buildings were filled with highly flammable materials.
According to eyewitnesses, the flames have spread to nearby structures.
No causes for the fire given.

One experience that I think most Jews have had post-10/7 is that of solidarity. The non-Jewish world is increasingly unsafe for us, so many have banded together. Babka Social is an example of that, as most of the new accounts we have aren't from people who want to try Mastodon/the Fediverse, but Jews who were persecuted on other servers.
This article about Jewish authors who have been persecuted or blacklisted and have come together is an example of the kind of Jewish resilience that we have, but I wish we didn't need.
