It may not be apparent, but there is a bias in language to male things; there are more words to describe things from a male point of view.
For example, is there a male equivalent of bitch?
Men are rarely described as abrasive. Whereas women struggle to describe our worries and woes in language which is chiefly made by men to express theirs.
We still live in an uneven society.

This headline by ABC News is one of the most biased bullshit headlines I've ever seen.
The article doesn't even start to mention the timber industry until halfway down and does a piss-poor job of explaining the tenuous connection. (It's that the timber industry was responsible for collecting seeds to use for reseeding after fires and, now that they're not doing that anymore, someone else has to and the scientist mentioned in the article says that the current contracts for seeds aren't enough)
