The entirely-manufactured financial crisis has resulted in every business holding almost all spending: they're not hiring, and they're also not doing any advertising or sponsorships.
I'm able to weather it better than most, but even I've had two months of some ... "negative profit."

ultimately it's about what's able to be pushed on people, and that will be what's most profitable and serves owner/ad interests. America has a more market fundamentalist culture cause we've let them decide the message/art.
that fedi could replace all that with attention driven purely by public choice is what inspires me about this place.
