So I ran into a problem while building Pixelfed Stories.
How can we serve the Story Carousel with the following requirements:
- Fast API response times
- Cache invalidation for deleting your own Story
- Instant view tracking (gray out Stories you've seen)
- Near instant Story fan-out
The current state involved expensive db queries that were cached for 5 minutes, eww.
Now we're leveraging Redis to solve all these challenges 😎
it's resilient AF too, will self-hydrate.

Small feature phones typically run a variety of operating systems, each with its own set of capabilities and features. Among the most widely used operating systems for feature phones are:

YunOS
YunOS is a mobile operating system developed by Alibaba Group, which is based on Android and is designed for low-end smartphones and feature phones. It is popular in China and supports various mobile features, such as voice commands and cloud storage. YunOS is used by several device manufacturers, including Haier, Meizu, and ZTE.
Mocor OS
Mocor is a proprietary operating system developed by MediaTek, which is a company that produces mobile processors for feature phones. It is designed for low-end devices and supports basic features such as messaging, multimedia playback, and basic internet connectivity. Mocor is widely used by device manufacturers in China and other Asian countries. An example includes itel phones .
Tizen
Tizen is an open-source, Linux-based operating system that is designed for a variety of devices, including smartphones, tablets, smart TVs, wearables, and in particular, some Samsung feature phones. • de mettre en lumière les investissements fossiles des banques et assureurs via des scènettes participatives,
• et de créer en petits groupes des pistes d’actions pour exiger leur désengagement immédiat des énergies fossiles.
