I'll say here what I said on Twitter:
I actually do think it's worth pointing out how in a time of overt fascism, white trans people are also becoming more reactionary and facist overall, because that has real ramifications for Black trans people, who already bear the brunt of anti-trans violence.
I'll say that again: by every meaningful metric, Black trans people bear the brunt of transphobic violence. Not white trans people. And white trans people are not organizing en masse in any real way to change this fact.
And to be clear: White trans people are not becoming more reactionary and facist because they're trans, it's because they're white. And in a white supremacist society, white people will always be white first. Race traitors are rare, very rare. Us Black folks remaining real clear on this point is what will help to keep us safe and keep us from fates like that of Sam Nordquist.

I am concerned about the increase in crude and inflammatory comments coming from people on #Mastodon and other platforms, particularly those aimed at children (e.g. Roblox, Scratch.mit.edu, etc.). There seems to be a noticeable rise in such posts, and it's becoming a global #trend at this point. Not just from "anonymous" users (the myth on the #internet is that only anons are trolls since anonymity makes them more emboldened) but also from professionals with real names making casual posts (mostly jokes, but sometimes rants) without considering the impact their language has on others and their profession.
This shouldn't even be seen as judgmental or tone-policing or "limiting one's freedom of speech" to point this out. I'm also pointing it out regardless of whether I think the comments are intended to bother others or not. Inflammatory speech is still inflammatory regardless of intent.
