I passeri, uccelli un tempo abbondanti in città e campagne, stanno sparendo. Ci sono diverse ipotesi dietro questo declino drammatico, dalla sparizione di luoghi in cui nidificare alla riduzione della disponibilità di cibo.

Sono in una zona piena di verde, e in cui la conformazione urbanistica è cambiata poco o niente negli ultimi 40 anni, da che vivo e ricordo.
Il numero di passeri è molto diminuito e non me lo spiego. In compenso sono arrivati, che non cerano:
- conrnacchie
- nutrie
- conigli
- aironi
- fagiani
- Picchi
- assioli
- scogliattoli grigi
Invece i merli sono rimasti gli stessi, forse un poco più abbondanti..
Sinceramente pensavo, nella mia ingenuita fosse colpa delle cornacchie, che sono molto territoriali e aggressive, ma sicuramente il numero di anfratti qui non è diminuito, e il rumore non è aumentato.

One thing about Illinois, when a delivery person comes around, they pound on the door like they are a SWAT team about to bust down.
In Iowa, "knock loud" means knock slightly louder than a butterfly's wings caressing a summer morning's mist.
There is a reason all of my delivery notes say "Pound on the door like the drums of Mordor" but I have never, in twenty-something years, gotten anything more than a elf's delicate tapping against the wood.
I don't like most elves. They are annoying, whiney, and delicate but somehow always "perfect".
I used to like them as a teenager, but closer to my fifties, I appreciate orcs and goblins a hell of a lot more. (And once I explained about troglodytes, I'm discouraged from calling the kids those despite it being accurate.)
The Poison Elves comic and Anne Logston's Shadow are two exceptions.
Why? Well, consider an app that is known to introduce (even if temporarily sometimes), quirky accessibility bugs. Now imagine that same app shoehorning updates each time you launch and you cannot downgrade if it breaks. Then, imagine if when you complained, you got redirected to the metaphorical recycle bin chat bot thingy that tells you to reinstall the app and have a good day. Pair this up with accessibility quirks that have existed for years at this point, and you get an idea of how valued you are as a customer. Finally, the icing on the shitcake: imagine that while all of this happens, you get random popups or elements on screen that beg you to pay a monthly subscription, or show ads for promoted games and content. In your chat app.
I don't get the impression of, "We really care about you and hope you have the best experience possible." Instead, I imagine them being like, "Well, suck it up. We've got the monopoly and all your friends, so you're just gonna deal with it anyway. That makes us money. We might fix it later."

@nilz selbst wenn diese Kürzungen nicht zu vermeiden wären, müsste die Kommunikation eine ganz andere sein. Das ist als ob sich Habeck hingestellt hätte und gesagt hätte "tüdelü Flüssiggasterminals" und dann wäre er wieder im Ministerium verschwunden.
Hier wird gar nicht argumentiert und einfach Härten angedroht, weil Haushalt. Aber man weiß jetzt schon, dass das nichts bringt. Also bleibt nur übrig, dass man arme Menschen hasst.

Secure boot won't let your kernel be modified though.
Their anti cheat software just makes sure that you haven't tampered with the kernel at all. It just monitors for any changes after the system has booted.
It does not modify your kernel.
