I value the ability to swap ports around on my Framework 13 so highly. I had thought it was a bit of a gimmick before buying one, but actually, it's a superpower and I can't imagine buying a new laptop without this feature now.

I opted not to click the link and instead contacted the administrator directly. The administrator, who is me, confirmed there was nothing amiss and that I should consider the email spam.

Inzwischen steht unter jeden 2-3 Post eine dieser Phishing Nachrichten und #mastodon.social lädt die Betrüger weiter zur Anmeldung ein. Natürlich werden Konten geprüft, reaktiv - wenn der Schaden bereits entstanden ist und die Timeline immer unbenutzbarer wird.
Es ist geradezu lächerlich, wenn dieser Server das Problem nicht in den Griff bekommt. Es nervt. Gewaltig.

I worked in the Surrey town of Godalming - a very pretty town. But when I first arrived the agent at the rail ticket office refused to sell me a ticket, he claimed that the place I was asking for did not exist.
I was saying "God-all-ming". I pointed at the map. He said "Oh, you mean 'Got-ul-ming'. He sold me a ticket only after I was able to demonstrate that I got the pronunciation right.

I have a 3D printing confession to make.
I ordered my first 3D printer kit in 2015, assembled it in 2016, and yesterday I ordered my fourth 3D printer.
I haven't printed huge amounts; mostly I've used CAD to design tricky parts with small details, and then struggled to print them.
In all that time, I've never tried glue stick for bed adhesion.
Yesterday, I relented and gave Elmer's purple glue stick a try.
It works!
Just make sure to have none of the spray be sucked in by a fan or get onto the belts, pullies etc. They don't like that. 🤭
At the end of the day it probably doesn't matter whether you're using a glue stick or adhesion spray. I just found the first to be easier and quicker to use.

Hey #NFS / #FreeBSD / #NFS4 experts, I have a weird one.
My file server exports the path:
/common/media to various devices in my house.
All read-only.
There are sub-dirs under it, books, movies, tunes, and cams, plus some junk I have yet to sort. I should note that some of it is owned by nobody:nogroup, some is nuintari:nuintari (for some reason I should clean it up), and the rest is root:wheel, except.....
The clients can see all of this, EXCEPT for cams.
The exports looks like this:
V4: /
/common/media -ro -maproot=root -network 172.16.17.0 -mask 255.255.255.224
There are tons of files under cams, its a syncthing backup for our cellphone's cameras.
The only difference is that the the files in cams come from inside a jail, managed by bastille, where /common/media/cams is mounted inside the jail via nullfs. But even files I create directly in the root filesystem on the server itself, outside the jail are not visible to the clients. This directory and everything under it are all owned by syncthing:syncthing FYI.
Yet every other file under this exact same NFS mount works fine.
Anyone have any ideas? I've been ignoring this for a few weeks now hoping inspiration would hit me. But I got nothing.
