Ieri leggevo, su RaiNews, che hanno arrestato i membri di un'organizzazione criminale che vendeva IP-TV pezzotto. Sparato in grassetto il giornale diceva che tra i metodi usati dai criminali per comunicare c'era l'uso di messaggistica crittografata. Come se chiunque usi WhatsApp ora sia un criminale...

Great. Apparently TryHackMe is creating a startup that will have access to their dataset collected from hobbyist hackers, professional pentesters, or other personas that use their platform.
They want to build an AI agent for pentesting with the retroactive dataset they’ve been collecting.
The conflict of interest here is so obvious. They are being paid to help people upskill a job and then are using those people’s data to undercut those same people. Absolutely disgusting.
We, as a community, desperately need better learning labs that can be verifiably local/offline and do not provide a centralized dataset. It needs to be approachable for those who have little-to-no tech experience.
The lack of a robust privacy landscape is now being weaponized against those who are coming after us in our own fields.
