(If you're curious why THAT didn't come across as a total nightmare despite the concept... it rapidly became very weird. What began with a police action suddenly involved an armed citizenry forming a militia to take care of the secret police group.
Then other militaries got involved and soon it was a warzone. Most of the dream rapidly became the odd interactions between groups of soldiers from various countries, apparently all in Australia fighting urban warfare against bigots.
I kept getting moved between the soldier groups as 'the first partisan' because I had apparently been one of the first people recorded on camera fighting back against the secret police, and the whole dream had me trying to hide the fact that, actually, I'd never fired a gun before and was a terrible 'soldier'.)

Still got bits of floating through my mind.
Like, this bit where me and this other girl I had run into had snuck through the streets avoiding the store brand stazi, and found our way to a "British Foreign Legion" camp (yes, that's a thing in this dream-universe, apparently).
They let us in, helped clean and maintain our weapons despite that we kept repeating we didn't WANT to be armed.
Then they let us stay to watch their Friday night burlesque show.
