“We don’t allow countries in here other than Australia,” the guard could be heard telling another man who intervened. Ella said she saw other fans wearing jerseys displaying other country’s flags who were walking into the stadium.
Her brother, who was standing next to her, was wearing a Portugal jersey and was not stopped as he walked in, she said.

"Shelter!" is an initiative for free public overnight-shelters. I am developing it while studying M.A. #Gestaltung at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts #Bielefeld. There is also a project-website: shelter.apgw.de
It is about #infrastructure as #art: For #climate-friendly travels. For local #microadventures. #Socially inclusive and #ecologically reasonable.
I like to see many new public shelter-spaces and trekking-places and I want to build shelters together with you, e.g. on public meadows at the edge of cities.
That's also a bit egoistic because I like to experience self-efficacy while building it, and in the best case, make it experiencable for others, too.
Inspiration and motivation is the impressive culture of public fresh air #tourism in #Denmark. There are hundreds of trekking-places for up to two nights, often with wooden shelter-huts. And: You are allowed to place your tent beside of them, if they are already taken...

Sometimes I’ll watch a random “culture shock” video from someone visiting Australia. One thing that consistently surprises people is the public barbecues.
They can be found in public parks around the country and are usually maintained by the town councils. They’re free for anyone to use.
This seems normal to me.
Nice! We occasionally have public barbecues in some Canadian parks (eg local Britannia city park) but wow, nothing so substantial. Impressive.
Must immediately make foreign tourists utter something something 'shrimp on the barbie ' stereotypes. 😂
These exist because usually using your own BBQ is strictly forbidden to avoid the risk of the grass / vegetation catching fire and well.. you know people losing their homes and worse - It doesn't detract from the the fact that they are a good thing.
They encourage people to visit the area and enjoy time at the relevant park - so good for the local community.
They tend to be well designed for two reasons - it reduces maintance and causes people to respect them as community assets.
It may be French, but it’s nice.
Pretty expressive for an instrument incapable of getting louder or softer as you play.
It’s done in the timing.
