All Hands for a Free Future – So Far This Cycle
April 24
As of April 22nd, the United States Transhumanist and Pirate Parties, as part of our All Hands for a Free Future coalition, have currently endorsed the same slate of five candidates:
- Tim Grady (Ohio Gubernatorial candidate)
- Blase Henry (AZ 17th LD candidate)
- Hunter Rand (Sparks City Council candidate)
- Drew Bingaman (PA 108 candidate)
- Pete Karas (Wisconsin Sec. of State candidate)
While not the end of the endorsements/candidates, our list thus far between our two parties is the most both the Pirates and the Transhumanists have endorsed in one election cycle.
All Hands for a Free Future, aka AllHandsFuture, was build up as a coalition between the USTP and USPP in the name of minor party collaboration and cross-endorsement. Official since September 4th 2025, our coalition is, to our understanding, one of the first of its kind; if not the first in the history of the United States, definitely the first in the 21st century.
There will be more candidates likely endorsed before this year’s election cycle comes to a close. Presently, a candidate from Vermont is seeking the endorsement of the USPP, meaning more endorsements are likely to come in the near future.
As it has been since its inception, All Hands for a Free Future is only comprised of our founding parties, the United States Pirate and Transhumanist Parties. This isn’t to say we don’t have room to grow or expect the coalition to remain only between our two parties.
However, it does provide me with the unique opportunity to sing the praises of our partner party.
From the very moment the word “coalition” was mentioned, there was only ever one party mentioned to be our partner: the United States Transhumanist Party.
From a Pirate’s perspective, the United States Transhumanist Party is one that allows folks to try and live as freely as possible.
They do that using technological advances in science and technology to promote human advancement and life longevity. They are at the forefront saying science and technology can be forces for human good.
It’s more than “becoming a cyborg” or whatever is most easy to illustrate for a comic book strip. A transhumanist is someone who loves humanity so much that they believe human beings should be in complete control of their destiny. Some want it via winning the war on aging, others by eradicating disease, and some might seek to actually become cyborgs.
To a Pirate, a Transhumanist is someone who believes people are in their right to do that. Life is beautiful and it’s only natural to want more of it. It’s only right to want everyone to live as good of a life as possible.
That’s who I see when I see the Transhumanist Party. No amount of finger pointing at the worst (and not even most accurate) representatives of Transhumanism will convince me otherwise.
So this post is not only a celebration of our joint achievements, both together and individually, but a celebration of minor party unity and the continued success of our two parties.
