I voted for 1 but 3 and 4 were also 😙👌

I liked 2 as well. I guess it's 1 4 3 2

Another possibility with option B would be to have King Neptune commenting along the lines of “Good Grief! Look at the time. And what are your plans for monetizing this anyway!?"
in reply to David Revoy

the version C is great but I miss the point, until I read the poll description.
in reply to Karel Košnar

@Karel_Kosnar It happened to my wife too, who wasn't familiar with the reverse mermaid meme. But it was still working a bit for her as she got "the content creator envying another one while having blind spot on the reason of her own unsuccessfulness". Anyway, this one is a bit cruel and on the physic appearance of content creator, I personally had a good laugh because it's unexpected, because I also love reverse mermaid meme, but the deep message is bitter even if it is a sad part of reality.
in reply to David Revoy

@Karel_Kosnar C also losing the poll is just adding insult to injury. Poor losing heroine, hope she gets her own spinoff. She'll need blue fins. 🫠
in reply to David Revoy

I like them all but I think the moral in "stop polluting" is too individual: there is probably a dwarf citadel nearby that refines metal and dumps megatons of toxic mithril-oxide contaminated dirt into the sea. The fishers on the small boats are probably not the problem.
in reply to tuxmain

@tuxmain hehe, right; but it's the one she can reach, so better this than nothing I guess. 😊
in reply to David Revoy

Voting for "Reverse Mermaid" just because of the title without even looking at the panels.
in reply to David Revoy

I would rather not choose between them... but the 4th set made me smile 🙂 (It must be so boring for YouTubers - "don't forget to like, subscribe, donate your blood, blah blah blah"...)
in reply to David Revoy

We should be able to do "weighted polls" for this kind of votes ^^

My sort is the following:
- (4) This is the one that made me laugh the most 😀 Here, she is kind of proud and "managing" herself. Also, I like the mix of older times with modern times, and the real QR code is too neat ^^ The bell could really be "a shell" instead of saying "shell, uh bell"

- (2) This is my second one, for amusement too, I like @ygor ’s suggestion to argue with dad, that makes her more firm

[1/2]

@Ygor

Bon bah n'est pas Stan Lee qui veut 😅
Mes deux contributions sont dernières (pour le moment)
in reply to GuB 💾

@gub Haha, oui. Mais dernière de mon top 4 sur probablement plus d'une cinquantaine de propositions. C'est pas rien 💜

In "Go do your homework," it's not a harp. It's a lyre.

in reply to David Revoy

beautiful work! The “take your trash with you” version really resonates, especially ftom a decolonization perspective. And the “peartreon” one does as a statement against both big tech and late stage capitalism.
in reply to David Revoy

Absolutely love that one simp in version D who is throwing money into the air to get that sweet Mer-merch!
in reply to David Revoy

I like them all, but "like and subscribe" mermaid got an out-loud laugh. (Because it's so true.)
in reply to David Revoy

I voted B. As a parent I felt seen 😀
C and D are also cool. A as well.
in reply to David Revoy

They're all good, but give me different feelings.

A: Self-righteous "message" - "a very special episode"

B: Really feel empathy with this one. Bit sad.

C: Funny. Kind of old. But leaves a bad taste. I guess there's a faint "incel" / "misogyny" vibe?

D: My fav, I think. Appeals to my X-er cynicism about commerce directly.

in reply to David Revoy

For me its

D, A, C, B.

But I like them all in their own way.

in reply to David Revoy

I like them all, for different reasons.

> What she has got that I don't?

Fingers. Pas de bras, pas d'audimat.
