ICYMI: Updates from the 4/26 Meeting

ICYMI

Alabama, Colorado, Maryland, North Carolina, West Virginia – Since all of these will have the same thing said, might as well get it all done now: We are seeking volunteers in your state! We’re seeking volunteers in every state, always, but especially these five states!

Arizona – The AZPP is planning on hosting continued food drives, named “Plunder Hunger,” and has suggested the United States Pirate Party promotes the same. As such, during next Sunday’s meeting, there will be discussions in place for nationwide implementation.

Committees – Next week, during the Pirate National Committee meeting, the board shall put together an “election committee” to put together a candidate slate for the 2026 Pirate National Conference… Hoist the Colours and Spill the Tea: 20 Years a Pirate!

Long Live Alternative Parties Podcast – the United States Pirate Party will send a guest over to the “Long Live Alternative Parties” podcast on May 3rd to discuss the Pirate Party. We will post the link to the episode following its release.

Vermont – While not an officially endorsed candidate, Cris Ericson had reached out to the United States Pirate Party, asking for assistance in helping her get onto the ballot. If you are in or near Vermont (as volunteers do not need to be from Vermont), you can visit her website and assist in volunteering. It is currently unknown if the endorsement is still being sought out, but in the name of supporting independent candidates, I thought I’d make an executive decision to post here.

Water Clean Up and Camera Walks – Inspired by the forming-Maryland Pirate Party, an idea was put forward to have water clean ups nationwide. This, alongside our traditional camera walks and the AZPP’s “Plunder Hunger” idea, will likely see a big push following out 2026 Conference.
