Also Easy to turn off, if you don't want it: Preferences > Posting Defaults > Who can quote

Every boost is now two clicks! 🤦♂️
Even when I boost my own reply and there is only one option in the boost menu. 🤣
And by the way, the option I use most in the toot menu, "Edit" is off the bottom of my mobile screen.

in reply to Mastodon • • •My understanding was that 4.4 rolled out the API interface, and 4.5 would roll out the client implementation. So I made a quote post from my mastodon.social account (@sillapp ), which I follow here from my 4.4 server. However, `quote` is null in my API response for that post (mastodon.social/@sillapp/11522…).

Here's a suggestion: On other servers the quote just shows up as "Post unavailable" or "Post pending" - that's bad UI.
And this entire post is bad information formatting.
Put the link to the blog in the post proper, not just in the unsupported quote post.
And quote posts that are not supported should at least spit out a link to the post in question.

Now it's FOUR(!) clicks to change visibility of a toot. Is it so uncommon to write public toots and quiet answers?
