I have a quilting question! 🙋♀️
I’m ready to start machine quilting a large #quilt (110”x110”). The pieces it’s made from are mostly bigger than the maximum stitch distance for the wadding.
I was planning on doing stitch-in-the-ditch to start with (my thought being that this will stabilise everything and hold it in place) and then come back and do extra quilting.
Is this the right approach? Or am I going to end up with the fabric bunching on the second round of #quilting?
Yes, doing some stabilizing lines and then adding more quilting is recommended, usually, so you're on the right track. Just be mindful of the directions you sew and keep that fabric taught.
I also agree with "stitch near or over the ditch" vs in the ditch for pressed-open seams.

So this is my new project: A solar powered website:
The website is hosted on a Raspberry Pi Zero server running from solar panels and batteries, living in a shed in my field. The Internet access is done via an LTE modem.
I had a lot of fun building the whole system and then writing the site in the most basic, pure HTML.
However, even though the site is static HTML, it is presenting live data using my second new project: Pyriodic Backend, written in Python:

Raffinato perché Jackson Browne è abile nel cesellare strutture semplici e ad impreziosirle con tocchi di classe tutt'altro che ampollosi o meramente manieristici, ma che anzi contribuiscono a tessere un'atmosfera avvolgente, appagante, in grado di far percepire come tutto, anche il più flebile accenno di bending, contribuisca e sia necessario per la perfetta riuscita di ogni singolo brano. Delicato, perché anche nei movimenti più “coincitati” (“Leaving Winslow”) non si viene scossi, ma invitati ed accompagnati ad aumentaree gentilmente il ritmo, o a tenere il tempo con un po' più di enfasi (la beatlesiana “If I Could Be Anywhere”), ma si ha sempre la sensazione di essere in un ambiene accogliente, familiare, ma non per questo monotono o sonnolento... artesuono.blogspot.com/2014/10…
