Something that tickles me, always, is reviews of accommodation or services or food, that are in effect just people showing they don't know much about wherever they are.
"I saw a cockroach and little ants, and there was a mildew smell." Yes, welcome to the tropics lady, it comes with the humidity and bugs.
"Everything was old and the footpath was rocky and the plumbing wasn't great." You came to Rome, yeah he plumbing is ancient. You came for ancient, my Dude.
"Food was so spicy!" For which the place is renowned, Hon. (Any place that's not primarily Anglo, Islander, or northern European people)
"The staff were so slow, and someone palmed me off to their cousin when I asked for a cab. " Relax babe, you're on island time now, they celebrate family here.
So many people just can't /won't accept that not everywhere is for them, not everything about their own culture is "universal".
My absolute favourite is, "staff were rude."
How do you know they were rude? Rudeness is cultural and you're not at home.
It's normal to get enthusiastically told off by an Aunty in Singapore if you're in the wrong spot (even if you're a silly tourist who didn't know).
It's normal to be ignored by a waiter and not be given the bill until you ask for it in Italy - they're letting you enjoy your meal
It's normal for service staff to be fairly perfunctory and unsmiling in about half the places I've ever visited. Not everyone insists on perfomative fake happiness.
It's normal to hear casual swearing from Australians, in Australia.

Il mio pensiero sull'elettrico è semplice, finché le batterie di auto per tutti i giorni necessitano di ricariche ogni 200 o 300 km a mio avviso sono tecnologia sprecata, quando le auto elettriche sono caricate solo da pannello fotovoltaici saranno la svolta.

Le auto elettriche inquinano meno di quelle a benzina, ma il problema è l'organizzazione globale dei trasporti (e delle aree urbane) incentrato su veicoli individuali privati (e il conseguente disinvestimento nel trasporto pubblico).
Tutto il tempo passato a promuovere le elettriche come soluzione è tempo sprecato.
Ottimo evitare i vetri, ma se continuiamo a mangiare merda, muoriamo comunque.

(Azure:) It's really wonderful that so many people on Fedi will not boost images without alt text! For some images, my headmates and I need alt text, and it means a lot that the people around us care.
But could we take it one step further? Often I'll see images with alt text that is bad. I don't mean just amateur or not very descriptive or too descriptive. I mean bad - it's not doing what alt text is supposed to do. Here are some examples, all of which we have seen multiple times:
1. A screenshot of several paragraphs, but the alt text is only a summary sentence, even though the content of the text is the point. (How it affects us: we should be able to read the image by clicking on the alt text, which can be clearer or at least bigger. And of course if you can't see the image at all...)
2. A meme; only the text on the image is included, and it's in all-caps in the alt text. (How it affects us: usually, the image part of the meme is there for a reason, and we tend to need help figuring out that reason. Also, we've heard of accessibility problems with all-caps.)
3. Just a couple emojis?? (This is bad because it is not alt text.)
If you've written alt text like one of these examples, this is an opportunity to learn! It's not the end of the world to make inaccessible posts, and now you know better. Thank you for listening!
And for those of us whose interfaces support it (and if they don't, they should): let's start checking the alt text before boosting! Bad alt text should not be inflicted on people who need alt text, and bad alt text should not be rewarded with boosts. If you have the spoons, you can even provide better alt text!
