Io non so come faccia, ma Panahi è riuscito a trattare la persecuzione politica del suo paese, l’Iran, con estrema naturalezza e leggerezza. Di sicuro non sono i termini miglior i per descrivere il suo stile, ma cercherò di spiegarmi. (Forse non è un caso che ha vinto la Palma D’Oro al 78° Festival di Cannes.)
Un uomo con una moglie incinta e una bambina piccola è in viaggio su una strada di notte e ha un’avaria all’auto come conseguenza dell’investimento di un cane randagio. Chiede aiuto a una officina e il meccanico riconosce la voce e il passo dell’uomo: è colui che l’ha torturato nel carcere di Evin. L’uomo decide di vendicarsi. Ovviamente non vi anticipo il seguito, che non è niente affatto banale. Si tratteranno due temi: come essere sicuri che l’uomo sia il vero torturatore? È giusto vendicarsi uccidendolo?
Panahi riesce a trattare i vari sentimenti umani che il proprio torturatore suscita con molto tatto e molta maestria, rendendo evidente non solo la banalità del male, ma anche la semplicità del bene. Basta una minimo di empatia, infatti, per evitare di cadere nel baratro della cieca violenza che il regime inculca ai suoi fedelissimi. Nello stesso tempo Panahi non minimizza affatto la rabbia, umanissima, che provoca l’avere a che fare con il proprio torturatore. In tutto questo riesce anche a inserire alcune scene decisamente divertenti.
Il film scorre via veloce, nonostante le quasi due ore. E si esce forse con un briciolo di speranza in più per l’umanità.
Nel frattempo Panahi continua a essere perseguitato per i suoi film, che sono ovviamente girati senza il consenso del regime. (Anche questa è una cosa incredibile, di come riesca a girare i suoi film in Iran nonostante il regime.)

- камера работает так, что лучше б не работала. надоело снимать другим телефоном и скидывать на этот. да и там камера хуёвая, хочу нормальную
- не смогла завести прокси, потому что всё под x86-64
- какие-то вечные траблы с клиентами матрикса: фрактал не показывает эмодзи + мне приходилось переносить строку с помощью
<p>перед началом новой строки, флаффичат вечно вылогинивал меня, куча клиентов просто не влезли в экран, подразумевая, что они работают на десктопе - и вообще куча приложений думают, что они на десктопе, с соответствующим размером окна
- на него в целом нельзя положиться и думать, что будет работать как надо
- наверно, к утру я ещё больше всего вспомню и отредактирую пост

Saw another article that mildly annoyed me about vibe self-regulation. You see, when you're concerned about anything (#climate in this case) you have to have good vibes. Otherwise you may get discouraged and discourage other people. It's impossible for an adult to have a nuanced appreciation of how difficult something is and do it anyways. So above all you must monitor your own vibes in order to propagandize yourself and others.
I increasingly hate all of these vibe articles.

Dans quelques années, lorsque presque tout le monde affirmera avoir dénoncé les crimes de guerre commis par Israël à Gaza, le monde se souviendra avec émotion du juge Nicolas Guillou de la Cour pénale internationale. Mais le monde se souviendra également de la manière dont les dirigeants européens ont collaboré avec Donald Trump en appliquant les sanctions américaines infondées à l'encontre de Guillou.
Imaginons un instant, pour faire preuve d'imagination, que l'Europe se soucie de ses valeurs. Imaginons une Europe où les principes si généreusement inscrits sur les bannières du projet européen – l'État de droit, la dignité de l'individu, l'engagement en faveur de l'autonomie stratégique – sont plus que de simples fioritures rhétoriques destinées à embellir les grands discours prononcés à Bruxelles.
Dans cette Europe parallèle, l'histoire révélée par Le Monde (19/11/2025) concernant le juge Nicolas Guillou, magistrat français à la Cour pénale internationale (CPI) de La Haye, serait le scandale politique du siècle. Ce serait le genre d'affaire qui fait tomber des gouvernements et ravive une fière conscience européenne.
Mais nous ne vivons pas dans cette Europe. Dans l'Europe réelle, le calvaire de Guillou a été ignoré, symptôme de la descente de notre continent vers un état de vassalité incontestée.
Mis à nu, les faits de l'affaire sont extrêmement déconcertants.
Nous avons devant nous un citoyen français. Un magistrat de renom siégeant à la Cour pénale internationale (CPI), que la diplomatie européenne s'est efforcée de mettre en place afin de tourner la page d'un passé où les criminels de guerre pouvaient se cacher derrière la protection de leur gouvernement. Suivant méticuleusement les procédures de son institution dans l'exercice de ses fonctions, ce juge a autorisé des mandats d'arrêt contre le Premier ministre israélien et l'ancien ministre de la Défense pour crimes de guerre présumés à Gaza. En réponse, l'administration du président américain Donald Trump a sanctionné Guillou.
Les sanctions imposées constituent un véritable modèle en matière d'éviscération de la souveraineté européenne. Elles réduisent Guillou à l'état de non-personne, non seulement aux États-Unis, mais aussi dans son propre pays, le cœur battant de l'Europe. Il a été exclu du monde numérique mondial (WhatsApp, toutes les applications Google et les réseaux sociaux tels que Facebook et Instagram). Même son compte bancaire français est pratiquement inutilisable, compte tenu de l'interdiction de tous les paiements nécessitant la coopération de Visa, Mastercard, American Express et du système de messagerie interbancaire SWIFT, censé être européen. Comme si cela ne suffisait pas, lorsqu'il a récemment essayé de réserver une chambre d'hôtel en France, Expedia a annulé sa réservation quelques heures plus tard.
Le succès remporté par Trump en «inondant la zone» (The NYT 28/01/2025) de comportements scandaleux ne doit pas nous faire oublier l'importance de ces développements. Le gouvernement américain a décidé de sanctionner – ou, en substance, de dépersonnaliser – un juge européen pour avoir exercé ses fonctions officielles en Europe alors qu'il travaillait dans une institution créée à grands frais et au prix d'efforts considérables par les représentants élus de l'Europe.
