It's likely either a carrier side issue, general Android compatibility issue with that carrier or hardware failure. GrapheneOS uses the same carrier configurations as the stock OS and doesn't make changes in these areas beyond enabling more toggles and adding the option of 4G, 5G or 4G/5G only modes.
The carrier(s) involved aren't mentioned in the thread. Switching carriers may be the solution if they don't support using Pixels properly.
It's very unlikely GrapheneOS is causing this.

It was fascinating & creepy, a strange vibe in the gully there.

Io l'età dello studio universitario l'ho passata da un pezzo.
Ma ultimamente chiacchierando con una studente le ho suggerito un libro da leggere e mi ha risposto "leggo già un sacco per studiare, quando posso fare altro di solito non leggo".
Se neppure per studiare si mantiene la capacità di leggere testi complessi (e non solo riassunti, mappe, schemi, slogan...), siamo proprio alla frutta.

Dipende da cosa studia la ragazza ma è completamente legittimo preferire altre attività dopo che si passano x ore al giorno davanti ai libri per studiare.

¿Cómo lo hacés? ¿Dibujás velozmente cuadrícula y piezas (símbolos, letras)? ¿Omitís la cuadrícula y tirás algunas líneas, flechas incluso, para fijar ubicaciones relativas? ¿Lista de coordenadas (ni pregunto por #notación Forsyth-Edwards: la supongo ignota salvo para programadores, no la podría usar sin un manual)? ¿Se ha inventado otro modo práctico?
¿Tal vez describirla de viva voz en persona, por teléfono o radio o para registro de un grabador, ¿eso existe?

Locked device auto-reboot which was implemented by GrapheneOS in July 2021, proposed by GrapheneOS as a standard Android feature in January 2024 and implemented by iOS in October 2024 is the only GrapheneOS feature announced as being implemented upstream in some form.
Android already had a much a weaker software-based USB toggle already.
