Aged in new American oak barrels with a #3 char, #stranahans Original ages for a minimum of 5-years before being cut to proof with locally sourced Rocky Mountain Spring water.
Blended with barrels ranging in age at between 5 and 9 years, Original comes in at around 47% ABV or 94 proof (approximately).
Sitting down with a 1.5 ounce pour, we have the following thoughts.
Appearance: Out of the bottle, Original has strong lacing inside the glass, forming tassels as it descends. Under neutral light, it appears with a dusk-like burnt amber.
Aroma: Swirling and sniffing, we recover notes of maple syrup, burnt vanilla, and leather.
Flavor: Sipping, we recover notes of apple butter, vanilla, cacao chocolate, and caramel.
Finish: Overall, Original has a peppery spice finish that coats the palate while lingering with notes of leather, oak, and subtle fruitiness.
Final thoughts, what’s enjoyable about this whiskey is that we could see ourselves finishing the evening after with dessert, pairing with a mild cigar, or sipping while nibbling on salted caramel.

Nachdem sich alle 5 Teile im Fundus eingefunden hatten, ist die Blackwell-Reihe (die ersten drei Teile nach 10 Jahren noch einmal) nun komplett durchgespielt. Allesamt schöne Point & Click Adventures, trotz der durchgängig unveränderten Hauptaufgabe - noch im Diesseits hängengebliebene Geister müssen von ihrem Ableben überzeugt werden, um ins Jenseits gelangen zu können.
Die Geschichten sind interessant, mit durchaus unerwarteten Wendungen, die Dialoge und auch deren Vertonung überzeugend, die Retro-Grafik gut gemacht, die Rätsel nicht zu schwer, deren Lösungen aber auch nicht allzu offensichtlich. Nach dem ersten Teil steuerte jemand anders die Musik für die Teile 2-5 bei - nachvollziehbar, der neue Stil passt wesentlich besser zur Stimmung der Spiele.

Wie ich beiläufig entdeckt habe, wurden die von mir ebenfalls geschätzten Adventures „Gemini Rue" und „The Shivah" doch glatt vom gleichen Studio entwickelt/veröffentlicht. 🙂

Sull'etichetta, con un font CaccaDiMosca 4px, c'è l'indirizzo dello stabilimento di produzione.
Cercandolo con Google Street View, anche per altri prodotti, si hanno belle sorprese, tipo scoprire che si tratta di aziende "blasonate" che lavorano in OEM per ammortare il costo delle linee di produzione.

Anni fa un industriale biscottiero s'incazzò a biscia perché una catena di supermercati vendeva biscotti identici ai suoi… poi scoprì che li produceva la sua ditta in subappalto, o la linea di produzione strafica da vari milioni di euri avrebbe lavorato solo 3 ore al giorno, perché più di un tot col suo marchio prestigioso non si vendeva.

Sono passati 25 anni dall'uscita di Final Fantasy IX, uno dei capitoli più amati e uno di quelli in cui l'annuncio del remake potrebbe davvero far esplodere Internet.
Tuttavia, bisogna un po' spegnere gli entusiasmi. Se è vero che Square-Enix abbia voluto celebrare questo speciale anniversario è altrettanto vero che le voci sulla possibile cancellazione di questo progetto cominciano a essere davvero tante, tutte riunite dalla difficoltà di sviluppare qualcosa di così importante.
Ma tolto il dente, Square ha voluto far comunque felici i fan, annunciando anche il Final Fantasy IX Picture Book disponibile dal 2026 e basato su Vivi.
"Vivi è un ragazzo misterioso che è stato ripescato dall'oceano da nonno Quan, un buongustaio che cerca di padroneggiare l'arte del cibo. Quando nonno Quan capisce che Vivi non è del cibo, inizia a crescerlo e a educarlo sul mondo. Insieme vivono una vita tranquilla, circondati da banchetti e amici, fino al giorno in cui Vivi se ne va di casa.
Questa storia originale, scritta dal designer degli eventi di FINAL FANTASY IX Kazuhiko Aoki e illustrata dal character designer Toshiyuki Itahana, è un'aggiunta deliziosa alla storia di Vivi e del nonno!".
Il trailer invece è una compilation dei momenti memorabili di Final Fantasy IX, un titolo uscito su PlayStation proprio nel 2000 e caratterizzato da un ritorno delle atmosfere originali, medievaleggianti e fiabesche. Si può ancora sognare il remake, ma la situazione in Square-Enix non è delle migliori, purtroppo.

BRUSSELS — Romania’s fledgling government is made up of the country’s most pro-European politicians, but that hasn’t stopped them citing Brussels as a key reason why they need to impose a drastic set of tax hikes and spending cuts to avert financial collapse.
For the past five years, Romania has been spending way beyond its means — in the words of new President Nicușor Dan, eating a large pizza while only paying for a medium-sized one — and has a projected budget deficit of around 9 percent of economic output this year, the highest in the European Union.
That record of poor fiscal management has provoked repeated reprimands from the European Commission, which Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan now says can no longer be ignored. Die Völkerrechtlerin Albanese beschreibt in ihrem Report ein Geflecht aus Unternehmen verschiedenster Sektoren: Rüstungshersteller, Technologieunternehmen, Baufirmen, Rohstoff- und Dienstleistungsunternehmen, Banken, Pensionsfonds, Versicherungen, Universitäten und Stiftungen. »Diese Akteure ermöglichen die Verweigerung des Selbstbestimmungsrechts und andere strukturelle Verletzungen« wie »Besatzung, Annexion sowie die Verbrechen der Apartheid und des Völkermords«. Neu und einzigartig ist all das freilich nicht, denn: »Koloniale Bestrebungen und die damit verbundenen Völkermorde wurden historisch vom Unternehmenssektor angetrieben und ermöglicht«, setzt Albanese das »siedlerkoloniale Apartheidregime« in Israel in eine historische Kontinuität mit anderen Staaten, die auch auf die »Enteignung indigener Bevölkerungen und ihrer Ländereien« setzten.
[...] Das Land mit den meisten von der Besatzung profitierenden Unternehmen sind die USA (30), gefolgt von Deutschland (15). Darunter befinden sich Axel Springer, Siemens, Volkswagen oder Thyssen-Krupp. Letzterer Konzern konnte milliardenschwere Rüstungsaufträge einstreichen, zuletzt etwa 2022, als die Lieferung drei weiterer U-Boote der »Dakar«-Klasse für die israelische Marine für rund drei Milliarden Euro beschlossen wurde, wovon ein beträchtlicher Teil aus deutschen Steuergeldern bezahlt wird.
