This is a really neat project… something I'm till not clear on, is it a wayland compositor, or is it a wayland app? Like does it assume you're using a particular wayland compositor?
I may have asked the question wrong. Can Wayland apps be run on the same screen simultaneous with Wayback-hosted X apps? If so, how does this work? Is a wayland compositor subsidiary to the X environment? Is the X environment, itself, subsidiary to a wayland compositor (e.g. you run Wayback inside Xwayland inside Wayland)?
@megmac @mcc Weston (the “reference” Wayland compositor) can (could?) run as an X11 client, but not in rootless mode. Maybe that's what you're thinking about?
