I have a Windows 11 laptop which I use for the car OBD software. I decided to also have Debian installed on this laptop. I used the Debian Live installer. The installer offered to shrink the Windows partition, and install Debian on the remainder.
It all worked flawlessly. No need to faff around with a separate partition manager. #FOSS installers have become so proficient. There is really no excuse for not having a free operating system.

Likely I'll be pushing PieFed support to TestFlight next.
This might be the biggest PR I've ever written. It took a month of work and thousands of lines of code updated. There s a very high chance that random things will be a little broken, but I'll fix the bugs as I find them. That being said, it's very usable. Please let me know if you encounter any issues.
PieFed is still pretty unstable. They could push a breaking change at any point that would require me to make an app update for PieFed to work again.
There are known issues that I'm solving with the help of the PieFed devs:
- Private messages don't load your reply messages to other users
- Comment loading is a little broken. You will see "missing comment" a lot
I hope you like the update, and I'm pretty confident this work will unlock the next chapter for Blorp. I might even look into mbin support, no promises.

Ein besonders eindrucksvolles Beispiel ist die Umsetzung der autoarmen Innenstadt in #Gent in Belgien. Das Projekt wurde 2 1/2 Jahre lang vorbereitet und die Proteste waren erheblich: Geschäftsleute befürchteten, dass die Innenstadt sterben und niemand mehr nach Gent kommen würde. Einige politische Parteien versuchten, aus der Negativstimmung politisches Kapital zu schlagen und der verantwortliche Vize-Bürgermeister Filip Watteeuw erhielt sogar Morddrohungen.
Zum Zeitpunkt der geplanten Umsetzung hatten zahlreiche Medien ihr Quartier in Gent aufgeschlagen, um über den erwarteten Stau und die Verkehrsprobleme zu berichten. Aber als es soweit war, bemerkten die Leute, wie angenehm die neue Situation ist und die Stimmung schlug um. Watteeuw berichtet, wie er mit Journalist:innen eine Fahrt mit dem Fahrrad durch Gent machte und die Leute hätten überall geagt: "Glückwunsch, sehr gut, wir sind sehr zufrieden damit". Alles verlief reibungslos und die Medien mussten zugeben, dass es ein guter Plan sei und er funktioniere.
Die ÖPNV- und Radnutzung stieg deutlich an, der Autoverkehr entlang der Hauptradrouten reduzierte sich um 40% und die Luftqualität in der Innenstadt verbesserte sich. Ein Bürger sagte zu Watteeuw: "Jetzt höre ich andere Dinge als vorher, vorher hörte ich Autos, Autos, Autos, und jetzt höre ich Vögel, ich höre den Klang der Stadt, wie sie ist".
Bei der Wahl ein Jahr später wurde Watteeuw mit deutlich mehr Stimmen als zuvor wiedergewählt.
