I have to say, I have 3 federated Wordpress sites and never had to use a button like that… basically when you follow a blog on the Fediverse and reply to it from here, the comments sync seamlessly…
So the problem with GoToSocial is that it doesn't have a client part. It's a pure server and you need a different client app to access it (e.g. Phanpy, Elk, or one of the many mobile apps). That is why the reply link doesn't work. There's simply no API for it, even though the server itself is mostly compatible with Mastodon, this part will never work. 🙂

While loading the kayak I took this photo of the sky. The feathery clouds and a faint halo around the sun stayed with me while I was on the lake. I used "street toilets" because in many place a "public washroom" may mean shared office washrooms, or other configurations that aren't actually open to the general public.
There are lots of "green" equipment which I assume you are talking about. Used for takin care of the waste. It has become so efficient so you are not obliged to connect it to a VAC (is it called that?) system.

For someone driving, if they are in the car and they get the urge, there are a lot of services set up to cater to them: gas stations, minimarts, fast food restaurants. And in a car, the time required for a detour is much lower. If you're on foot, on the other hand, you have to identify a place to use, like a cafe or restaurant, and maybe make a purchase just to get access to the restrooms.
Public toilets make cities more walkable. Cities that are working on the Transition need to consider opportunities for making toilets available to pedestrians and bikers.
Besides encouraging active transportation, public toilets just make people feel like they're part of something bigger. That the city they live in recognises their basic needs and is competent enough to accommodate those needs. It's great for social cohesion.

the outdoor shots are more visually compelling. They also feel like you're doing work in the real world, not the digital world. So, I prefer the outdoor shots!
Studio produced video allow for wider variety of formats, and presentation tools and may include outside shots if necessary to support the story. Also, if you are going to dub the audio when filming outside, you might as well stay in the studio and control the soundscape along with the visuals.
Your outdoor setting was unusual and attention getting, but the highlight for me was the message. You were asking politicians to think "outside" the box, and be true to the requirements of a full European war.

It’s difficult to articulate why I prefer outdoor videos. I can summon the difference inside myself by remembering each of the two photos you provide above. The outdoor pic has a calming effect that enables greater attention to what you are saying. The indoor pic engenders a bit of tension. The same is true with Anders Puck Nielsen’s videos. My headspace is more relaxed and open when he is outdoors. That said, I watch all your videos, no matter where they are set! Thank you!

The entire reason Trump won is because he managed to energize a disaffected base of eligible voters that previously didn't give a shit about politics because they're too fucking stupid to educate themselves. Now, these people didn't just magically one day start actively liking education. They're still the same exact disaffected, politically neutral dipshits they've always been. They just fucking love Trump. That's it.
And we have seen this born out in all kinds of ways already. From the 2022 midterms, which was supposed to be this gigantic red wave that turned out to be mostly a wash with maybe a small win in the Senate for Democrats - to the 2024 governors races that mostly went toward Democrats even in states that swung massively for Trump - to the special race in Iowa that just happened where a Democrat flipped a seat in a county that voted +11 points for Trump. Red voters don't give a shit about anyone else. MAGA will literally walk into a voting booth, vote for Trump, and then just fuck off and not vote for any other downline candidate. If Trump isn't on the ticket, they don't give a damn.

I am designing a smart alarm clock to replace the one in my phone, because I can turn off that alarm in my sleep, which isn't conductive to actually getting up on time.
Here's some of the features it will have: - Home assistant integration! Trigger scenes, automations and more when alarms go off, or only make alarms go off if somebody is home - Getting current time from ntp, changing automatically for DST etc. - Automatic skipping of alarms on bank holidays (enter country and state during setup) - Different schedules for different days of the week - Play mp3 files as alarm sounds - eInk screen to show the time - Push notification to your phone 5 minutes after the alarm has been turned off, if notifications aren't interacted with, the alarm goes off again - No snooze feature - Ability to set skip days (eg don't wake me up next week since I won't be home) - (potentially) ability to use as a bluetooth speaker - (unlikely but would be cool) ability to use as an airplay speaker
Software will be open source, so even if I stop supporting it (which is unlikely since it'll be my alarm clock too) others can step in to keep their devices functioning.

this year I notticed interesting pattern. If it's sunny day up to 24°C, maybe 25 is good. If sky is half clouded or more, up to 28°C feels cool. If it's both sunny and hot breathing while outside is unpleasant and exhausting.
