We are on a very limited timeline right now, so I am sharing this where I can:
My partner @magicalgrrrl & I have been dealing with chronic homelessness for the past several years, and I dealt with it for years prior to meeting Betty. We have two cats as well, and all of us have gone through many traumas together, which we’re trying to live through and overcome.
Betty and I are both disabled, trans, artists who make music among other things. We are trying to get to an extended residency hotel nearby, where we can sell our RV (which doesn’t run properly), so we can get a smaller vehicle and become more financially stable. With stable housing comes balance in other areas.

I have to say, I have 3 federated Wordpress sites and never had to use a button like that… basically when you follow a blog on the Fediverse and reply to it from here, the comments sync seamlessly…
So the problem with GoToSocial is that it doesn't have a client part. It's a pure server and you need a different client app to access it (e.g. Phanpy, Elk, or one of the many mobile apps).
That is why the reply link doesn't work. There's simply no API for it, even though the server itself is mostly compatible with Mastodon, this part will never work. 🙂
I don't think it gets mentioned very often and in reality it isn't much of a hindrance. But I also only learned about it from the docs when I was already committed to deploying it. 😅
