About 1/3 of the projects in the list are still active in some form. None of them seem to have achieved a critical mass of use outside the bubble universe of crypto. I have a light green shirt, and a dark green shirt, and those shirts are the only ones where I get comments or compliments (which is why I think green is my better color). I think black would theoretically work, but I avoid it because it's definitely a "you are a tourist from overseas/foreigner" look for someone with my skin tone... definitely avoiding that right now, too.

I notice an effect of scents, too. I uncap a bottle of peppermint essential oil near me as a low key bug repellent. (I also dislike toxic bug spray). When I tried some floral essential oils for fun, definitely had bees in my face.
