In talking about “AI”, wouldn’t it make more sense to distinguish between at least two broad categories?
1. Large, centrally-run models that need data centers the size of Manhattan and their own nuclear power stations
2. small, specialized models run locally, optimized for specific fields and tasks
@neil That’s a wonderfully clear and thoughtful policy.
One use case I see at work is to use a chatbot-like function that allows our technical support staff to find information in the endless reams of manuals and documentation that are available internally. (This is for heavy machinery, not consumer doodads.)
Here the AI tooling supports a human who’s in charge of the process, and has significant domain knowledge.

in reply to Grüne München Hadern • • •Entstanden sind breite Geh- und Radwege, drei begrünte Plätze sowie eine neue Brunnenanlage vor dem Oskar-von-Miller-Forum. Besonders beeindruckend ist die Begrünung: Auf den entsiegelten Flächen haben wir etwa 49.000 Stauden und Gräser (ja, die Zahl stimmt) angepflanzt, hinzu kamen 59 Bäume.
Die Begrünung ist wichtig für ein gutes Stadtklima, denn Münchens Innenstadt heizt sich im Sommer besonders stark auf.
