We have already maxed out silicon performance and we almost maxed out SiC on a semiconductor level. But we still can influence their performance by changing how we package and drive them.
We propose to add a a bit of positive feedback to the gate so that the transistor switches faster. Jet fighters use similar trick to be more manoeuvrable.

I just spent ~20 minutes trying to find information on how to do something in a Golang library on my client computer, before I decided it was worth pulling up @kagihq on my personal computer to look it up instead.

We don’t need “vibe coding”, we need search engines that actually work.
This is an excellent thread.
Whenever I see news headlines about another cafe owner complaining that "nobody wants to work", I'm mentally rewriting it with "nobody wants to be exploited for unlivable wages by some sleazy bugger".
The idea that everybody should be "productive", or even be "grateful" for whatever shitty employment is offered to them is a construct designed to maximise the supply of cheap labour. Or as I like to remind people, no corporation will ever demonstrate the same loyalty to you that they demand from you.
But even this frames everything in terms of paid employment. Which is the first error. We all wish to have purpose and meaning in our lives, and for some that means getting a job but for others it can mean something far more rewarding.

Nothing Phone (3a) Lite è uno smartphone che porta l'estetica e l'esperienza utente distintive del brand di Carl Pei in una fascia di prezzo più aggressiva. Il pannello supporta refresh rate adattivo fino a 120 Hz, campionamento del tocco a 1000 Hz e PWM dimming a 2160 Hz per ridurre l'affaticamento visivo. A muovere il Phone (3a) Lite è il processore MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Pro, realizzato con processo TSMC a 4 nanometri di seconda generazione, che ha fatto registrare un punteggio AnTuTu di 711.907 nei test interni.
Il chip è affiancato da 8 GB di RAM e due opzioni di storage, 128 GB o 256 GB, entrambe espandibili fino a 2 TB tramite microSD, una caratteristica sempre più rara.
Il comparto fotografico posteriore include un sensore principale da 50 MP (f/1.88, 1/1,57"), un ultra-grandangolare da 8 MP e un sensore macro da 2 MP, supportati dal TrueLens Engine 4.0. La fotocamera frontale è da 16 MP.
Il software è Nothing OS 3.5, basato su Android 15, che introduce nuove funzioni AI come Essential Key ed Essential Search. Nothing garantisce un supporto software eccellente: tre anni di aggiornamenti del sistema operativo (con Nothing OS 4.0 previsto per inizio 2026) e sei anni di patch di sicurezza. L'autonomia è affidata a una batteria da 5000 mAh con ricarica rapida da 33 W (0-50% in 20 minuti) e ricarica inversa cablata.
Il dispositivo, disponibile in bianco e nero, è in vendita al prezzo di 249 euro per la versione 8/128 GB e 279 euro per la 8/256 GB.
