The novaTop beliefs in society often complement the New England, Mid-Atlantic, New York, and Great Lakes regions in thought and process. The ideals regarding the novaTop community are largely determined by the collective good over the individual as well as by the incorporation of additional safety measures in society. Under currently existing systems, society often focuses excessively on the individual, ignoring planetary needs and essential services that must ideally be available to the general population, even if currently existing paywalls hinder present-day access.

Like in the New England, New York, and Great Lakes regions, the ideals of the religious utopian communal society are desired by novaTopFlex for improved true efficiency as well as the common good. Without a communal society, stereotypes continue to flourish, and the “nuclear family” ideal unfortunately persists as stigmatizing nonconforming populations across the board. The utopia aspires to ensure that stereotypes are ideally mitigated and that the stigma of nonconformists is also successfully contained. Also, by providing for dignity and mitigating societal assumptions, norms, and stereotypes, society can return to an approach where function dominates over form, rather than the current “form over function” approach that stigmatizes not just novaTopFlex, but individuals, groups, and communities with similar stories.

Last year (I think it was last year?) someone did a really cool post about Halloween being better than Christmas from a political point of view and I wondered if anyone remembered it, or saved it, or wrote it?

It was about Halloween as being anarchic as in being outside and sociable on a neighbourhood level, loosening up, being in disguise.

Whereas Christmas is a stay in your house, 'nuclear family', conservative holiday.

"As rain and snow fall on landfills, water seeps through waste, including dumped electronics, and picks up pollutants, forming what’s known as landfill leachate. This can contain heavy metals used in old computers and other gadgets and impact everything they come into contact with, from soil, our groundwater, oceans and rivers, and wildlife. Heavy metal exposure can affect some animals’ growth, body condition, and immune system, making them more susceptible to disease."

All Eyes on Sudan

Sudan is facing the world’s largest humanitarian and displacement crisis and yet, the world looks away.

More than 12 million people have been displaced since war broke out in April 2023 between the army of Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and the RSF militia led by Mohammed Hamdan Dagalo. Over 150,000 people have been killed.

Now, the city of #Al-Fasher has fallen to the #RSF. Civilians are being targeted, hospitals looted, and entire neighbourhoods destroyed. Half of those displaced are children.

But Sudan’s collapse is not an isolated tragedy; it's the result of decades of colonial destabilisation, exploitation, and the continous influence of other states such as #Egypt, #Russia, #China, The United Arab Emirates and #SaudiArabia. The latter directly receiving weaponry from European states such as #UK, #France and #Germany, as well as the #USA.

The same system that is selling weapons in already war-torn areas, is then sending more weapons to build a border regime to prevent people fleeing from this violence.

We need to stop this madness of endless militarisation. Politics for people, not for profit, and human rights for all.

All eyes on Sudan.
