WhatsApp ha implementado una nueva capa de seguridad para sus copias de seguridad cifradas de extremo a extremo, adoptando la tecnología de claves de acceso (Passkeys). Esta medida permite a los usuarios proteger sus respaldos de chat utilizando su huella dactilar, reconocimiento facial o el código de bloqueo del dispositivo. Con la integración de las Passkeys, WhatsApp simplifica drásticamente este proceso, alineándose con las tendencias de autenticación sin contraseña (passwordless). La seguridad del respaldo queda ahora ligada a los sistemas biométricos o al código de bloqueo de pantalla del dispositivo. Esta tecnología, basada en estándares como FIDO2/WebAuthn, almacena la clave criptográfica de forma segura en el dispositivo, garantizando que el proceso de restauración sea tan simple como un toque o un vistazo, manteniendo el mismo nivel robusto de protección de extremo a extremo.
IMPORTANTE – Esta función se implementará de forma gradual en las próximas semanas y meses. Para comenzar, ve a Ajustes > Chats > Copia de seguridad > Copia de seguridad cifrada de extremo a extremo.
La función está siendo implementada de forma gradual para todos los usuarios de iOS y Android. Para activarla, los usuarios deben navegar en la aplicación a la sección Ajustes > Chats > Copia de seguridad > Copia de seguridad cifrada de extremo a extremo y seguir los pasos para asociar una Passkey, eliminando la dependencia de las contraseñas tradicionales.

It’s good to keep super cheap film around (even if you don’t like it - I don’t care for this film) for testing cameras. I think I’ll also play around with seeing if I can shoot this at 400, just because. I’m pretty confident in the shutter on this, it all works smoothly so it will mainly be testing for light leaks and rangefinder focus.
