Ma vi sembra una cosa normale pretendere di accedere per guardare qualsiasi video (non si tratta di video limitati ai minori o cose del genere), perché il vostro server di merda ha deciso che il mio indirizzo IP è marcio o qualcosa del genere? La risposta esatta è “più di dieci ore”. Nel vuoto i corpi umani non esplodono né tantomeno congelano immediatamente, al contrario di quanto si vede in alcuni film di fantascienza.
Abbiamo la prova diretta che i corpi umani non esplodono quando vengono esposti al vuoto perché è quello che accadde nel 1971 all’equipaggio della Sojuz 11. Durante il distacco dalla stazione spaziale Saljut 1, si aprì per un errore nella procedura una valvola di scarico dell’aria e la navetta si svuotò completamente: i tre cosmonauti morirono per mancanza di ossigeno, ma i soccorritori che tentarono invano di rianimarli dopo l’atterraggio riferirono che “sembravano addormentati”.

@oblomov il fatto è che la cute umana è abbastanza robusta ed elastica per resistere alla differenza di pressione. Altro discorso sono per esempio i polmoni, che fanno una brutta fine.

What’s totally conscious: that I’ve been explaining to lawyers, engineers, and students for 15 years that every device they own has an attribution file and to a rounding error no one, even the developers, ever reads them. Their original, noble, purpose has morphed into a box-checking exercise performed by multi-billion dollar corporations for their lawyers, not for developers. And that long predates Copilot.
To be clear, that’s super-problematic! But it’s not problematic because LLM; it’s problematic because the mechanism we invented in the 1970s and 80s to create human relationships didn’t survive the transition to modern, mega-complex, mostly-open systems. LLMs are at worst the moment where we had to collectively acknowledge that the emperor is clothed in unread READMEs.
If the purposes of a system is what it does, the AUTHORS/CREDITS are not a benefit for the people listed but rather a social function: an outsourced (poor) substitute for a functioning register of copyrights which would *limit* the universe of potential #copyright claims (and eventually be instrumental in a restoration of the "limited Times" in the Progress Clause).

It's now, as the first pre-release of #Linux 6.19 is out – which leaves plenty of time to find, report, debug, and fix any problems that those distros otherwise will encounter when they switch to 6.19.y in about eight to ten weeks. And testing is not even hard, as easy-to-install packages with pre-built mainline kernels exist for all three distros[2].
In case you want to play it a bit safer, delay testing by one week till -rc2 is out – bugs that lead to data loss introduced before -rc1 are extremely rare but will almost certainly have been found and fixed by then.
Anything up to 6.19-rc6 (five weeks from now) is still okayish, but less ideal.
The sixth -rc is your last good chance to test. Linus by then wants all regressions that have become known since the beginning of the 6.19 cycle fixed – but in case some were missed or not reported yet, there is still enough time to report, debug, and fix them before they reach those distros.
Testing any later is often too late: most bugs then can't be fixed anymore before those distros will switch to the 6.19.y series, which will happen within one or two weeks (in the case of Arch and Tumbleweed) or three to four (Fedora) after 6.19 is released.
