Yeah, I grew up in the 80s playing tons of puzzle games, especially Sierra and Infocom. But I never beat a single one without copious hints. Many of them I didn’t finish until I was an adult and hints were easier to get.
There was one time I was playing one of the King’s Quest games at a friend’s. I was walking across the screen to finish the game and my friend said, “Don’t get cocky.”
