#DIYDay if you can call putting one of these things together... 3 times because you didn't bother looking at the instructions... because you had one at your old house and it must be the same... right?
It wasn't... So first I built it with the wrong piece in first... only got 25% done before realising I'd used the double ended piece in the wrong place.
Then the 2nd time, I got it fully built and went to install it... to realise I'd built the whole thing upside down... 🤔 🤦 😆
Thankfully, all I really had to do was take it apart at the middle and remove and turn over the baskets.
I also installed it on the other side of the shower to the one planned, because I thought... it's spring loaded and you need to push it into the ceiling to compress the spring and slide the bottom into position before letting the spring create the tension required to keep it in place.
I knew there was a joist above the plasterboard ceiling on the right where the chimney breast is on the other side... couldn't be certain there was a joist above on the left side.... and putting a hole in the ceiling of my brand new bathroom was not something I wanted to risk.
A few items thrown on it for now... I don't think I actually need all 4 baskets... but it had 4, so I fitted 4.
Cost was £34 and it's matt black like everything else.
