Ein Nutzer hat vor dem Landgericht Leipzig 5000 € gegen #Meta erstritten, weil via #Facebook seine Daten systematisch abgesaugt wurden. Viele Kommentare feiern das und rechnen mit Tausenden erfolgreicher Klagen.
Damit rechne ich auch. Und hier fängt der zweite Skandal an: unser Staat ist laut #Grundgesetz in der Pflicht, die #Grundrechte seiner Bürger*innen effektiv zu schützen.
Beim #Diesel-Skandal konnte man sehen, wie das in der Realität aussieht. Auch dort "durften" Einzelne mit dem vollen Prozessrisiko gegen einen Multi-Milliarden-Konzern vor Gericht ziehen. Die #Justiz wurde mit zigtausenden Prozessen geflutet und in Teilen lahmgelegt. Wichtige Verfahren mussten liegenbleiben, teils jahrelang. Anwälte verdienten riesige Summen an Gebühren.
Das hat sich seither mehrfach wiederholt: #Fluggastrechte, Prämienerhöhungen in der privaten Krankenversicherung, #Glücksspiel - jetzt Meta.
Die Alternative? Ein Staat, der mit scharfen #Gesetzen und kompetenten #Behörden die geltenden Regeln gegen mächtige Konzerne selbst durchsetzt, #Bußgelder verhängt, illegale #Gewinne einzieht und als #Schadenersatz an die Betroffenen auskehrt - ohne dass es zigtausende #Zivilverfahren braucht.
Das wäre nach deutschem und europäischem Recht durchaus möglich. Aber stattdessen kommen die ersten Forderungen, man müsse den amerikanischen Internetkonzernen noch stärker nachgeben und nicht einmal geltendes Recht, wie den #DigitalServicesAct, auf sie anwenden.
So werden Bürger*innen alleingelassen. Effektiver #Grundrechtsschutz sieht anders aus. Sorge für einen funktionsfähigen #Rechtsstaat übrigens auch.

La Fondazione Baruchello, nell’ambito della mostra Felice Cimatti. Studi, a cura di Carla Subrizi, ha organizzato un Programma pubblico articolato in due appuntamenti. Dopo l’inaugurazione della mostra, una tavola rotonda con la partecipazione di Felice Cimatti, Andrea Cortellessa, Mattia Cucurullo, Alessandra Mammì, Adriana Polveroni, Irene Quarantini e Carla Subrizi è stata l’occasione per approfondire una riflessione sul tema dello “studio”.
A conclusione della mostra, il laboratorio Studio di Forme/ Forme di Studio, ideato dalla Fondazione Baruchello in collaborazione con Caterina Bolasco e a cura di Marcella Dalila Muraca, intende approfondire un aspetto del lavoro di Felice Cimatti, il movimento, che emerge tanto dalle mappe e scatole-oggetto presenti nelle installazioni, che dai disegni: il movimento come spostamento, migrazione ma anche come fluire e scorrere del pensiero, delle forme, dei corpi.
Il workshop si articolerà in due momenti: una prima fase dedicata all’osservazione e alla sperimentazione pittorica, in cui verrà esplorata la casualità delle forme, e una seconda fase in cui, attraverso la ripetizione del segno e il disegno, si instaurerà un dialogo con le tracce lasciate dalla pittura iniziale. Ai e alle partecipanti sarà inoltre fornito un piccolo sketchbook, un diario visivo, su cui annotare alcuni dettagli partendo dall’osservazione diretta.
I materiali emersi dal laboratorio saranno lasciati alla Fondazione Baruchello ed entreranno a far parte del suo archivio-progetti.
Il laboratorio è rivolto a studenti under 35 (max 20 partecipanti), l’ingresso è gratuito con prenotazione obbligatoria.

My brother got one because he crashed his car (so he was in the news for a day) and they wanted to know if there was somebody they could arrest for that. They couldn’t, it was just his type 1 diabetes. His blood sugar dropped below 50 and the snacks he had in his car didn’t help him. He was trying to rush to the next exit (his home but also maybe a store would be open) and he didn’t make it.
But my dad didn’t get one. They just used his medical records and picked a condition to blame.
My neighbor‘s mom died in a different building here and I heard her telling another neighbor the state said if she wanted an autopsy it would be $4500, so they’re just going to guess at what killed her in the night.
I should not tell people these things. I trust my dad‘s girlfriend, but she could have poisoned him and nobody would know. My neighbor‘s mom was found in a weird spot in her home where she wouldn’t normally be, but meh, she was old so whatever I guess. I hate it. Sorry for ranting.
