ICE arrests four people after they appear in immigration court

ICE agents arrested four people Thursday morning outside of immigration courtrooms in downtown San Francisco. Mission Local witnessed one of the arrests in the hallway outside of the courtrooms at 630 Sansome St., an ICE field office that contains some of San Francisco’s immigration courtrooms and a short-term detention facility. The man left the courtroom following his hearing. Mission Local saw him handcuffed in the hallway outside the courtroom, surrounded by ICE agents and the building’s security staff.

Yes, I know it's YT. Yes, it might end up being taken down for whatever reason (doesn't take a lot of imagination to figure out why) No idea if @rebeccawatson has posted this on fedi or not. (edit: she has)

Even so, it is GREAT info to help contend with the coming events of this weekend. We'll worth the nine minute run time.

Be safe out there. #nokings #skepchick #teargas

@CNN is reporting that U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem's cost controls may have led to delays in the Federal Emergency Management Agency response to the Texas floods. Noem, whose department oversees FEMA, recently enacted a rule that every contract and grant over $100,000 now requires her personal sign-off. "For FEMA, where disaster response costs routinely soar into the billions as the agency contracts with on-the-ground crews, officials say that threshold is essentially 'pennies,' requiring sign-off for relatively small expenditures," write Gabe Cohen and Michael Williams, who spoke with four agency insiders for their story.

The image is a two-part meme. The top part shows a person in a white racing suit and helmet standing next to a severely damaged race car on a racetrack. The car is wrecked, with parts scattered around, and the person appears to be unharmed. The text above this image reads "SURVIVE 250 MPH CRASH." The bottom part of the image shows a soccer player in a yellow jersey and blue shorts lying on the grass, clutching his shirt, with a pained expression. The text below this image reads "SHIRT GETS PULLED." The meme humorously contrasts the severity of surviving a high-speed crash with the exaggerated reaction to a minor mishap in soccer.

in reply to Braccio982

in reply to informapirata ⁂

in reply to Braccio982

in reply to informapirata ⁂

in reply to Braccio982

in reply to Braccio982

"Terroristi"?

Forse.

The image depicts a spacious outdoor plaza with a modern architectural design. The foreground features a paved area with a few people, including a child in a yellow shirt, walking towards the right. To the left, there are tables with umbrellas, suggesting a café or seating area. A large, leafy tree stands prominently in the center, casting a shadow on the ground. In the background, a large metal structure resembling a Ferris wheel is visible, along with a building and hills in the distance. The sky is clear and blue, indicating a sunny day. A sign with the word "Renaissance" is visible on the right side, suggesting the location might be related to art or culture. The overall atmosphere is calm and inviting, with a mix of natural and man-made elements.
