The Scottish National Portrait Gallery has a remarkable exhibition of Alfred Buckham's pioneering early aerial photography, including many over 1920s #Edinburgh , & this fascinating book accompanies it.
There's also an amazing section on an expedition around the Americas, sponsored by a photo-magazine of the time, with pics flying over the Andes, live volcanoes and Manhattan from the air in 1931, the brand-new Empire State building just added to her skyline.

Folks have rightly pointed out that Bezos is saying the quiet part out loud - the Big Idea is that you don't get to really own a computer, and will rent one from the cloud instead.
You know, the usual rent-seeking colonial bullshit.
What these folks aren't saying is that this is exactly what the modern web has been doing for the past twenty years by shoving everything into the browser.
Big Tech has already stolen your computer. They moved it into their data centers and forced you to continually pay them to visit it. Then they kept requiring you to buy more hardware to even get to the door.
So let's not pretend like the conditions Bezos is talking about are somewhere in the future. We're already there.
