It’s official!

The United States Pirate Party has turned 20! That’s 20 years, or 7,305 days, or 175,320 hours.

But none of that is as catchy as “20 Years a Pirate!”

Speaking of “20 Years a Pirate,” we have purposefully timed out our 2026 Pirate National Conference to take place today (and tomorrow) in celebration of this milestone.

20 Years a Pirate!

We will be livestreaming the conference, and providing links for all who are looking to join in. This year, as we do every conference, is a hybrid affair, meaning you can attend in-person or over Jitsi.

If you happen to be attending in person, then you’d get to enjoy spending the conference in a city whose very history revolves around the fight against tyranny: Boston, Massachusetts.

Here’s the itinerary for Saturday:

• 10-10:30am: Gather outside the USS Constitution
• 10:30-11am: Kick off speech outside the USS Constitution
• 11am-noon: Visit the USS Constitution
• noon-1:45pm: Lunch, The Anchor, 1 Shipyard Park, Charlestown
• 2pm-6pm: Talks, Minehan Meeting Room, Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Harbor on Tudor Wharf, 34-44 Charles River Ave, Boston

The actual 2pm-6pm portion will be broken down as such:

• 1:30pm-2:15pm: Set up
• 2:15pm-2:45pm: U.S. Pirate Party Captain “Jolly” Mitch Davilo discusses his experiences in the Pirate Party, what the party means to him and where will Pirates will be in 20 years
• 2:45pm-3:30pm: Hunter Rand shares what he has learned from his city council race
• 3:30pm-3:45pm: 15 Minute Break
• 3:45pm-4:15pm: Rose Klein discusses systems of pirate and anarchist organization and what we can learn from history
• 4:15pm-5:15pm: Election of National Party officers
• 5:15pm-5:35pm: Joe Onoroski discusses his 2024 campaign for state representative**
• 5:35pm-5:45pm: James O’Keefe gives some tips on protecting your privacy**
• 5:45pm-6:00pm: Tear down

**Will be skipped if Election of National Party officers goes over time

For Sunday, those attending in-person have three options:

• Walk the Freedom Trail mapping surveillance cameras
• Duckboat tour near the New England Aquarium
• Park clean up at Paul Revere Park plus New England Free Jacks Rugby game

Lunch, noon-2pm, Legal Sea Foods – Long Wharf, 255 State St, Boston for all options. Rugby attendees will need to leave early as the game begins at 2pm

Not just this conference, but making it 20 years in general. You all are the reason we survived, and I couldn’t think of a more perfect setting than Boston to honor that.

You only turn 20 once, so come celebrate the United States Pirate Party’s 20th year at our 2026 Pirate National Conference.

Who knows, maybe you’ll want to come back next year for our 21st anniversary conference in 2027. I heard rumors it might be a southern affair, but who’s to say…
