2026 Pirate National Conference: Day 2
June 7th
It’s Day 2 of the 2026 Pirate National Conference: […] Hoist the Colours and Spill the Tea (20 Years a Pirate!)!
You can check out Day 1 here, which featured speeches from Capt. Jolly Mitch, Hunter Rand, Capt. Emer. Rose Klein, and pitches from many of our candidates for the Pirate National Committee board.
Today kicks off Day 2 of the 2026 Pirate National Conference, which will be a day largely for those who attended in-person.
Thank you to all those who attended online yesterday, everyone in our comment section and everyone who was simply watching at home. Without your support, 20 years would not have been possible, and these next 20 years wouldn’t be either.
A reminder that there will be no Pirate National Committee meeting tonight. Meetings will return to their regularly scheduled times, standing 9pmET on June 14th.
A very special thanks to the Massachusetts Pirate Party, especially Jamie O’Keefe, Capt. Emer. Joseph Onoroski, Steve Revilak, Christine O’Donnell, Eli McGee and everyone who made this conference successful. Boston played the perfect host city and you all were the perfect hosts. Thank you for making 20 Years a Pirate the success it was.
Thank you to Hunter Rand, who is in the middle of his campaign for Spark City Council, Ward 2, for taking the time to fly out and speak during the conference. Hunter’s election is this Tuesday, so don’t forget to visit his campaign website and show your support. You can still donate to his campaign as well. Hunter has ran a hell of a campaign that has arguably been one of the most creative and honest campaigns one has ever seen. 13 years of being a Pirate, we’re happy you were able to join us for our 20 year celebration.
As well, a special thank you to Capt. Emer. Rose Klein for also having flown out from across the entire country to be at the 2026 Conference. Rose’s being there really did make the conference feel all the more special, and made the whole occasion feel all the more grandiose knowing people really were flying from all over the country to be there. Thank you for coming out, sharing your wealth of knowledge, and ultimately, being the perfect exemplar of Pirate Party ethics and values in every organization you touch, including and especially ours, the Pirate Party itself.
Thank you to all the candidates who were able to join and give their pitches for their campaigns for the Pirate National Committee board. You can watch the candidate section by itself here. Voting is still open and will remain open until 6pmET today, June 7th. You have time to vote, and can do so here.
Note: The Pirate Party is aware of the audio issues from 5:25-12:45, cutting out almost the entirety of Capt. Jolly Mitch’s speech. In addition to other portions of the conference currently planned to be individually uploaded (as you saw with the aforementioned candidate section), that speech will be re-recorded and uploaded separately.
Election results will be announced later tonight.
