Arizona – AZPP IT Committee met the previous Saturday and got the VPS to run the server and Claude AI to make things easier while working on the PayloadCMS. Working still on meeting with a candidate for Navajo President and an outreach event in Phoenix. Currently, the AZPP is having a special election to fill the Director of Indigenous Outreach position.

Blase Henry, Captain for the AZPP and candidate for AZ’s 17th LD State Rep, is officially a valid Write-In candidate for the race.

The AZPP have put out a new dating policy that will hopefully prevent drama from happening. Twitch got back to the AZPP the other day and requested more information to confirm our identity and be seen as a political entity on Twitch so they can then start livestreaming our first Game Night. Finally, Arizona continued discussing their cash bail reform plank.

Florida – the FLPP had a meeting to ratify their bylaws.

Illinois – The campaign for Mitch Davilo for Midlothian Village Board of Trustees will kick off later this month, with signature collection planned to begin come September. The ILPP will meet twice this month, presently slated for August 9th and 23rd.

Maryland – Concerns regarding the Democratic process in the MDPP was addressed during the meeting. Both Lookout and Swarmcare Director have offered to assist whoever needed or asked. Upon clearing the air, the origin of the concerns stem from a longtime supporter, and was largely found to be not-the-complete-picture as Maryland explained their side of the story and organizational process. The MDPP, the current iteration of which is largely tied to the work of the Lightfoots, Joel and Steen, is appreciated for taking the time to explain the situation for the board.

Observer Members – Four states not actively apart of the PNC as voting members, namely Alabama, Maine, North Carolina and Tennessee, had reps that were in attendance for the meeting.

Pennsylvania – Drew Bingaman announced today, August 3rd via Facebook, that the campaign did not meet the signature requirement. We thank Drew for his valiant efforts and wish Captain Emeritus Bingaman all the best in his future endeavors. The Pirates shall continue to have your back.

Pirate National Committee – Due to the new membership count for PNC member states, only four (4) are required to meet quorum. This number is reflective of our eight (8) member states, and will immediately change back to five (5) for quorum upon another state’s ascension. Last night’s meeting saw attendance from Arizona, Florida, Maryland, Massachusetts and Ohio.

Pirate National Conference – Locations are currently being discussed for the 2027 Pirate National Conference. Our next meeting should see a decision made for at least the 2027 location.

Tennessee – During the meeting last week, Jacob Anders received the Pirate Party’s endorsement, though many felt the meeting was a rushed affair, thus Jacob returned to answer any and all questions those in the party still had to ask. While not pure consensus, plenty felt this was a much needed rectification. A question regarding the formation of a Tennessee Pirate Party was asked, and answered. It is likely a movement towards forming a Tennessee Pirate Party is underway.

Texas – The TXPP failed to rectify their issues which brought them down to probationary status, and thus they have been dropped from their status as a Pirate National Committee voting member. This brings the current voting member total to 8.
