Via le cesate, spazio a tram e pedoni. Lunedì 15 settembre riaprirà un pezzo di piazza Cordusio, chiusa al traffico dallo scorso 6 maggio per i lavori di riqualificazione. Parte della piazza tra Castello e Duomo sarà percorribile a piedi, ma anche dalle linee tranviarie che erano state deviate durante gli interventi.
Si tratta dei tram 2, 3, 12, 14, 15, 16, 19, 24 e 27, che negli ultimi mesi hanno seguito percorsi alternativi. Gli interventi infrastrutturali, terminati nei tempi previsti, hanno riguardato il rifacimento dell’armamento tranviario a cura di ATM e i lavori di acquedotto e fognatura gestiti da Mm.
Ho finito da poco The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening e ora sto iniziando il nuovissimo Zelda grazie a mio fratello che me l'ha fatto come regalo dal suo viaggio in Giappone (lì, usato, l'ha pagato decisamente poco tipo 15€).
Le prime impressioni non sono male, il gioco è diverso dai soliti: oltre a comandare per la prima volta Zelda e non Link, non si combatte (quasi mai) con i nemici ma grazie a una sorta di bacchetta magica si possono ricreare nemici uccisi che combatteranno per noi. Questo metodo serve anche a superare ostacoli e saltare burroni perché si ricreano oggetti che ci possono servire anche impilati tra loro.
Si possono anche ricreare letti per riposarsi 😁
La grafica è la classica dei Zelda dall'alto, quella che in assoluto preferisco.
Stamattina ho finalmente finito Zelda Link"s Awakening! Devo ammettere che mi è durato un po' (l'ho comprato a inizio giugno) anche se non ho in realtà molto tempo per giocarci, l'ho fatto soprattutto nei weekend svegliandomi presto.
Il gioco mi ha appassionato un sacco, mi ha ricordato molto il primo Zelda e anche A Link to the Past. So che è una riedizione del gioco per Game Boy del 1993 ed è fatta veramente benissimo, se non l'avessi letto in qualche recensione non ci avrei mai pensato.
La difficoltà mi ha un po' deluso: da un lato verso la fine ho dovuto guardare alcune soluzioni perché trovare i dungeon o uscirne richiedeva nemmeno un impegno, del tempo e della pazienza che non ho più. Alcune cose vanno trovare senza praticamente nessun suggerimento ma tipo solo girando tutta la mappa o avendo l'intuizione della vita. All'inizio la cosa mi divertiva ma col passare del tempo diventava frustrante da qui l'uso dell guide (di cui generalmente cerco di fare sempre a meno) per gli ultimi due dungeon.
Dall'altra parte la difficoltà motoria è ridicola: in tutto il gioco non sono mai stato sconfitto da nessun boss o mini-boss.... speravo in qualcosa di un po' più difficile sotto questo aspetto.
La storia invece come sempre molto bella.
Comunque consigliatissimo per gli amanti di Zelda e del genere, mi sono divertito molto.

Indubbiamente, Charlie Kirk era una figura controversa: era il fondatore di Turning Point USA, organizzazione che in pochi anni è diventata una delle centrali di propaganda più influenti per la nuova destra americana.
Giovane, aggressivo, abilissimo nell’usare podcast, TikTok e tournée universitarie, Kirk ha costruito un seguito enorme parlando direttamente ai ragazzi, spesso con un linguaggio volutamente provocatorio, al limite della manipolazione.

Ho acquistato qualche giorno fa in offerta l'avventura grafica horror/comica chiamata Slender Threads a 14.99€ su GOG (l'ho preso su GOG per via della licenza migliore di quella di Steam).

And secondly, we have to consider why gig work even exists, aside from being a fresh new way to exploit workers and deny them the traditional protections of the labor market. Because there is a specific reason gig work exists right at this very transitional moment in the workforce, and I'll give you a spoiler: It exists because of AI.
AI is going to do the same thing to gig work that gig work has already done to traditional youth employment. It represents the transitional step from traditional human labor to full automation. That's part of the reason companies are using gig work in the first place. It makes it really easy to treat workers as instantly and transparently interchangable in an extremely efficient and flexible way. And they are going to start interchanging them not just with other gig workers, but AI drones -- self driving cars, drones, and other machine infrastructure as it gets developed and matures. The flexibility allows them to absorb the impact of any issues with the technology by instantly falling back to more "human gigs" when needed, but whenever the technology becomes successful, the human jobs will just instantly evaporate as quickly as the technology can roll out, and not a single thought will ever be spared for the millions of gig working humans waiting for their phone to buzz for the next gig that will never come while looking at bills that are never going to get paid. That's literally the goal that gig work exists to enable, it's fundamentally designed for the AI endgame, it's inevitably going to leave millions of people suddenly and quietly unemployed and unemployable without warning or even any official notification when it's happening, and it's coming sooner than we think.

Considering the author is possibly the most relevant scholar on (against?) platform work, I'm quite sure he would agree with you. The article implies that AI is deskilling and displacing workers and that's intrinsically a bad thing.

Wrong, gig work existed way before the advent of AI, even before the advent of Internet and PC. It was not uncommon that teenagers worked during the summer holidays to have money to go on holidays, to buy themself something or to pay for school or other activities. The problem is that for some people it is the only way to work, and this was happening way before companies started to use AI for everything.
You're understanding of "gig work" is comically outdated. You sound naive or trollish. "Jobs for teens" like fast food work, grocery clerking, and working at movie theaters have always been taken by people who need "real jobs" and not just teens looking for extra money. So you're wrong that these careers exclusively for kids to get pocket money ever existed, certainly not in living memory.
Secondly, OP isn't talking about working the carwash for the summer. He's talking about Uber and AirBNB. Maybe you heard of them? Over the last decade, they've caused massive disruption of the hotel and taxi industries by allowing thousands of unlicensed and unregulated "micro entrepreneurs" 🤮 to create a new economy of pay-per-task workers who end up owning all the physical assets (which rapidly deprecate in value) but none of the infrastructure or investments (which do not, or do so on much different schedules).
Houses being bought up for short term rentals has contributed to the housing crisis. Its caused economic harm to inner cities. It's a looking part of the polycrisis destroying the practical economy and the planet's livability. But yeah man, the real problem is lazy people just don't want real adult jobs, give me a fucking break.
I agree with most all of that, but shit jobs for teens were all teens in the day. We started in those shit jobs, and our coworkers were all peers. That's why so many middle-aged people don't get the modern paradigm. The modern world no longer reflects our youth, at all.

I'm not getting too excited yet. All class action lawsuits I've heard of end up netting individual members only a few bucks each. Unless the settlement specifically grants authors right to opt out of AI scraping, it's only a small victory. Hopefully settlement details will come out soon.
I've been part of a class action suite that netted me several hundred dollars, but it was a rarity, most others I've participated in ended up with me receiving between $1-20.
Most of the ones I've been a part of I've had to provide information that proves that I was negatively affected, but there have been a couple that I didn't have to do that. Generally I think the ones where you have to provide proof lean towards being higher in the amount of money you get, but that's only my personal experience.
