Palantir’s involvement in fusion-center ecosystems has long raised alarms for enabling mission creep, a steady expansion from investigating serious crime, to monitoring protests, and ultimately to tracking lawful speech and political organizing.
Many people are aware that fusion centers exist, but far fewer understand how aggressively they are being used today. There are more than 70 DHS-funded fusion centers operating across the United States, originally justified as post-9/11 coordination hubs meant to help federal, state, and local agencies share intelligence about genuine security threats. In practice, their scope has grown far beyond that mandate.
Fusion centers function by combining federal intelligence streams with local and state law-enforcement data. This includes information from DHS, the FBI, ICE, and CBP, alongside police reports, license-plate readers, CCTV feeds, and increasingly, online activity. Public social-media posts, event pages, livestreams, fundraising links, and activist messaging are routinely monitored and analyzed, often under the broad and loosely defined banner of “situational awareness.”
This is where Palantir’s role becomes significant. While Palantir is rarely branded publicly as “fusion-center software,” its platforms are widely used by the agencies that feed data into fusion centers. Palantir tools excel at linking disparate datasets, identifying relationships between people, locations, and events, and visualizing networks over time. That capability makes it especially useful for mapping protest movements, identifying organizers or influential voices, and tracking how activity spreads across cities or regions.
The result is a system where lawful political activity can be pulled into intelligence workflows designed for criminal or terrorism investigations. Even when each individual data source is technically legal (public posts, permits, open-source information) the combined analysis can paint detailed profiles of movements and individuals who have committed no crime. Once that information enters a fusion center, it can be shared widely across agencies, often with limited transparency or meaningful oversight.
This structure blurs the line between public safety and political surveillance. Fusion centers, powered by sophisticated analytics and private contractors like Palantir, make it easier to justify continuous monitoring on the grounds of prevention (anticipating unrest before it happens) rather than responding to actual wrongdoing. That shift fundamentally changes how dissent is treated: not as a protected civic activity, but as a potential risk to be managed. In short, fusion centers are no longer just passive information-sharing hubs. With advanced analytic platforms feeding into them, they have become active nodes in a nationwide intelligence network one that is increasingly targets speech, association, and protest, all under the cover of “security and preparedness”.

These people •really• do not want to be observed. Typical bullies: they cosplay tough guys, they waggle their gear around, but they •behave• like they’re afraid.
Feeling helpless? Don’t. All of this resistance makes a real and concrete difference. Honestly, the fact that this huge chunk of local residents is giving a visible, sustained “HELL NO” all the time is basically the •only• thing holding them back at this point — but it •is• making a difference.
If there were a sense of blanket permission, a sense that nobody is watching and nobody cares, a sense that there will never be consequences…we’d be in a whole different circle of hell right now.
Local community groups? Busting their asses, but they live and die on volunteer support. Legal system? Too slow, too compromised. City, county, state elected officials? Grasping for something they can do. Local police? Useless or worse than useless, of course.
BUT…all the above are formed by, shaped by, and constrained by popular sentiment. An active, defiant citizenry changes how all these institutions behave. Police know, politicians know, and yes, even judges know: they can only stray so far from what people will tolerate.
This active resistance? Hell yeah, it matters. It’s the short-term •and• the long-term.

ICE agents blow through stop signs, speed, drive recklessly.
They take off their license plates (illegally), cover their license plates (illegally), •swap• license plates (illegally). We’ve seen the same vehicle show up with different plates on different days There are photos circulating of the •same• license plate number on multiple ICE vehicles side by side.
ICE eats at restaurants I know and love, nice comfy meal before going back out there and destroying more lives.
It’s weird how much this enrages me. I hope the restaurant staff knows who they’re serving. I hope ICE knows they know. I hope ICE officers eat with nagging doubts about food safety.
I heard a rumor — this one not well-substantiated — that they ate at a restaurant and then come back and raided it the next day.
While at the ICE bldg in Portland we noticed that the same cars were going to and from the bldg with different plates. I think they have been trading out random plates at another location and driving in and out to avoid detection in their vehicles with their plates in public. In June they had just started taping their plates up or taking them off entirely but people started reporting them as driving with no plates

Miao... ieri sera, non troppo tardino, alla fine ho fixato lo stato estetico dell'ultimo minimo momento epico, come era necessario e non più di troppo inderogabile... 😳E boh, a livello oggettivo fisico la differenza è relativamente minima rispetto ad un attimo prima, e il risultato rimasto dopo aver pulito e tutto potrebbe essere per certi versi considerato comunque meno wow rispetto a quell'altra volta (ma non del tutto, eh, è solo che lo stile è un po' diverso), però comunque per qualche motivo quella punta di soddisfazione che mancava è stata riempita, e ancora adesso sono a posto, bene così. 👌 Quindi, ecco qui, altre foto con le vibrazioni rosse di poco mancate!!! E lo sto annotando solo ora, perché comunque boh, ieri sera ero in ogni caso a corto di energie magiche per scrivere cosine... dopo questo quindi ho solo cenato, giocato ai giochini, perso tempo su Telegram inavvertitamente o forse no, e poi a letto non troppo tardi (per poi dormire comunque un botto, evb). 🥰Avevo modo, quindi mi ero messa per bene con calma sul lettino in questo caso, anziché in bagno, per questi 10 minutini, cosa che crea un bellissimo contrasto tra il comfy dell'assetto e il dolore dell'azione... contemporaneamente capace di distrarmi dalla sofferenza esistenziale, e di farmi sentire effettivamente reale ed esistente e non un'illusione dei miei stessi sensi, che è incredibile se ci si pensa un po'... 😽
Dovevo a mio parere spiegare un pochino meglio il momento epico anche dal punto di vista fisico, comunque, perché dalla descrizione fatta al volo secondo me non si capisce bene tutto... e mettere anche le foto per motivi di gnammy, ovviamente, olè. 🤭(In ordine: due fatte sul momento, una dopo 1 giorno, e una dopo 2 giorni... e a proposito, mi dispiace se la prima è sfocata, ma ho problemi di skill a fare foto con 1 mano con sto telefono grosso.)
Ho giusto passato varie linee sull'avambraccio sinistro... non si sa esattamente quante, perché alcune sono lievemente sovrapposte, ma ci ho passato appena un minuto senza correre... facendo appena volare il taglierino sulla pelle, senza davvero premere... gnammy affilato, quindi funziona. 😊 Beh, come ho detto non è appunto praticamente niente, perché volutamente volevo toccare solo l'epidermide. Quando lo facevo con meno filosofia premevo sempre un po', e quindi i tagli avevano una minimissima profondità e usciva sangue per qualche minuto... in questo caso, invece, quello che c'è nella prima foto è tipo il 60% di tutto il sangue uscito, e non dovrebbero rimanere nemmeno cicatrici permanenti come invece ne ho di vecchie. 😈 È quindi davvero altamente magico, in realtà, e non deludente o dal retrogusto di troppo poco (anche se a me personalmente piace il più sangue, uffa), perché ripeto, faceva in qualche modo incredibilmente male rispetto a cosa sembra a guardare... giuro, è irreale, chi non sa non può immaginare. 😳Forse è perché in realtà, anche facendo tagli non così leggeri in passato, non ne facevo tanti insieme a zone così, e quindi evidentemente l'infiammazione localizzata era sempre poca.
...L'unica rogna, ora, è che tra meno di 2 settimane ho un prelievo del sangue, che mi fanno sul braccio sinistro, e quindi spero che questo coso sbiadisca abbastanza per allora, altrimenti sono guai... o forse no e sono io che mi faccio solo problemi per niente come al solito. Ma dovrebbe sbiadire subito, a giudicare da quanto lo ha già fatto nell'arco di 3 giorni... 🙏(No, non potevo farla sul braccio destro 'sta cosa, perché lì avevo già quella dell'altra volta, e l'asimmetria mi dà in qualche incomprensibile modo fastidio, e quindi ogni volta devo alternare lato, pure se faccio cose diverse... ma forse questa è la parte meno strana della storia, lol.)

Finisco di aprirmi la pelle e infliggermi dolore e boh, ridacchio... forse un po' inquietante persino per me, lol. 😚L'altra volta che ci ho fatto caso, e ho inviato perciò la mia foto, pensavo fosse un caso, dovuto allo specifico episodio... ma invece no, noto che la cosa è ricorrente. Per esempio, qui grazie al mio 3DS, una foto dell'altra sera (cioè, ne ho fatte varie a raffica, tra l'altro con un'energia che non avevo poco prima, ma questa forse è la più decente) dimostra il wow. ...In effetti, in foto questo sorrisino mi sembra non evidente tanto quanto me lo percepisco io, sia da dentro che allo specchio, però innegabilmente si vede; oggettivamente c'è. 💀 La cosa assurda sul serio, però, è che questo non mi succede mai con niente altro...
