🇮🇹 Ieri mattina un centinaio di attivisti si sono trovati a difendere il Boscodromo, ultima barriera all’avvio dei cantieri del Tav a Vicenza. Dopo ore di resistenza, le forze dell’ordine hanno sgomberato l’area per cominciare i lavori di abbattimento dell’edificio di via Rossi 198.
Attivisti e attiviste hanno resistito incatenandosi, utilizzando estintori e lanci di frutta contro l’escavatore e gli agenti.
Durante lo sgombero le forze dell’ordine hanno fatto uso di lacrimogeni. Al momento lo stabile è stato sgomberato. La lotta contro il TAV non finisce qui. Si invitava la cittadinanza a raggiungere il presidio al bosco di Ca’ Alte, da dove partiva ieri alle ore 18.30 un corteo che ha attraversato ol quartiere dei Ferrovieri. In occasione del corteo, un nuovo presidio è stato aperto, e il campo di calcio di via Corridoni inizierà il suo ruolo di socialità e lotta oggi alle 19:00.

I am not defending them making that mistake, that was silly and they should have checked. But the mistake did not substantially change the facts.

This is the kind of mistake that's only really possible if the person writing the article doesn't understand what they're writing about and doesn't really bother to check. I don't think anyone who was informed about Mastodon would have made that confusion, and naming "John Mastodon" as founder is wild, because literally a single second of Googling would have cleared it up. Also, "named after himself", again, a single second of googling would have shown this was false. There are multiple points where "facts" come out of nowhere it's not just one single confusion.
I also note that the article is now substantially different, the word "founder" doesn't appear anywhere for example.
