On related current news: the maintainer of the Linux bcachefs file system steadfastly repeatedly refused to stop adding features during the "bug fixes only" phases of the Linux kernel, instead favoring arguing that his project was special and shouldn't have to follow the rules everyone else had to, creating much unnecessary toxic drama.
Linus (and everyone else doing kernel work) was/were very much not amused.

This remilitarization is caused by the Trump admin doing a show of force against Venezuela’s government.
The USA government meddling in Latin America’s affairs has always brought misery and destruction. And we are not OK with interventionism, regardless of excuses.
