@vincent Yeah, this would be really interesting! I think the hard part might involve knowing what behavior should be normative, vs what behavior should not be.
A big part of the Fediverse is held together by non-standard stuff, though a lot of the edge cases have been turned into Fediverse Extension Proposals. It would be interesting to figure out how to check for certain kinds of differences, and say “Ah yes, this is valid in the context of how PeerTube videos work”.
