The closest a jammer can be is on a ship just outside Bulgarian territorial waters - which is more than 150 miles away from Plovdiv.
According to this, even the best jammers have and effective range of only 6 km:

Sean O’Malley, Snoop Dogg e l’arte di riconoscere chi ti porta più in alto
C’è un dettaglio che separa i fighter che restano meteore da quelli che diventano icone: la capacità di capire che nessuno fa il salto da solo.
Sean O’Malley lo sa benissimo. Al contrario di un Dillon Danis che si prende ogni merito, si autoincensa e costruisce un personaggio basato solo sull’ego, O’Malley ha sempre avuto un’intelligenza sociale superiore. Riconoscere chi ti ha dato una mano non ti toglie nulla: ti aggiunge carisma.
Il colpo che ha acceso la miccia
Era il 2017. Dana White aveva appena lanciato il Tuesday Night Contender Series, vetrina per i giovani con il sogno UFC. Sean O’Malley, allora un ragazzino con la chioma sparata e l’aria da outsider, mise KO Alfred Khashakyan con una precisione spietata nel primo round.
Il colpo era già materiale da highlight. Ma la storia non sarebbe esplosa così senza un elemento imprevisto: la voce di Snoop Dogg.
Durante quella stagione inaugurale la UFC aveva affiancato una telecronaca alternativa — la SnoopCast — con il rapper al microfono accanto a Urijah Faber. La reazione di Snoop a quel KO fu pura benzina sul fuoco: urla, hype, e soprattutto la potenza di un profilo social da milioni di follower che condivise il video back-to-back.
O’Malley stesso lo ammette:
“Il knockout sarebbe diventato virale comunque. Ma con Snoop è stato assolutamente folle. Mi ha postato due volte di fila, e tutto è esploso.”
Il clip oggi ha oltre un milione di visualizzazioni su YouTube, senza contare le onde d’urto su Instagram e Twitter.
Riconoscere chi ti apre la porta
Quello fu l’inizio della sua ascesa. O’Malley entrò nel roster UFC, costruì un seguito tra i più fedeli del panorama, arrivò a prendersi la cintura bantamweight prima di perderla contro Merab Dvalishvili. Ma quando guarda indietro, non cancella mai quel momento: ringrazia.
Ed è qui che si nota la differenza.
Danis si racconta come l’unico artefice del proprio successo, come se fosse nato già pronto. O’Malley invece sa che il talento va amplificato, e che servono voci, contesti, alleati.
Non è solo un fatto di umiltà. È strategia di lungo periodo: chi riconosce gli altri, crea reti più forti. Chi si prende tutto il merito, brucia i ponti.
Visione e realtà che si incontrano
Per O’Malley, quel momento con Snoop Dogg non fu solo una clip virale: fu la conferma che la sua “visione” aveva preso forma. Quello che sentiva dentro — posso diventare una star — si stava materializzando sotto i suoi occhi.
E il paradosso è che a far esplodere quella visione fu la voce di un rapper, non di un telecronista ufficiale. Segno che spesso i salti di qualità arrivano da direzioni impreviste, da legami laterali che non puoi pianificare.
Una lezione che resta
Oggi, mentre O’Malley continua a muoversi tra luci e ombre del suo percorso, la lezione resta chiara: il carisma non nasce solo dal talento o dalle vittorie. Nasce dalla capacità di riconoscere chi ti ha spinto in avanti.
E questo divide le star che restano simpatiche, anche quando perdono, dai personaggi che finiscono per isolarsi nel rumore del proprio ego.
Dillon Danis vuole la corsia preferenziale verso la UFC
Dillon Danis vuole la UFC. Non è un mistero, non lo è mai stato. Ma sa bene che la strada standard – quella dei preliminari, del Contender Series, dei match di costruzione lenta – non fa per lui. Danis è convinto di dover trovare una corsia preferenziale. E ci sta provando.Sabato scorso, a Misfits Boxing 22, ha centrato la terza vittoria da professionista in MMA sottomettendo Warren Spencer in 15 secondi netti. Spencer era al debutto, il divario tecnico era imbarazzante: un pugno, un clinch, una ghigliottina, fine. Un incontro da highlight più che da curriculum.
Eppure per Danis il punto non era il livello dell’avversario. Il punto era dimostrare che lui vende. Che quando entra in gabbia, lo show funziona.
“Appena l’ho colpito sapevo che stava andando giù. Ha provato a stringere e da lì non importa se è collo o braccio: quando mi agganci, sei finito.”
Il setup e il messaggio
Per molti, questo era un setup fight. Un match da imbastire, consumare e dimenticare. Ma per Danis era un segnale: non gli interessa accumulare record, gli interessa convincere i matchmaker della UFC a dargli la scorciatoia.Non vuole il Contender Series, non vuole le selezioni. Vuole saltare la fila, entrare nel roster principale e generare rumore. In un certo senso, sta usando lo stesso approccio che ha portato influencer e YouTuber sul ring: bypassare il merito tecnico e puntare tutto sull’attenzione.
E qui c’è la sua scommessa.
L’intrattenitore travestito da fighter
Negli ultimi anni Danis ha fatto più rumore fuori dalla gabbia che dentro. Una sola apparizione, ma una pioggia di tweet velenosi, provocazioni, risse verbali e incursioni nel circo dell’influencer boxing.La narrativa che cerca di costruire è chiara: “La UFC è noiosa, sta morendo. Io posso portare intrattenimento, pacchetto completo.”
Non è un caso che citi Kevin Holland, Leon Edwards, Michael Page: non come rivali tecnici, ma come pedine per dimostrare che lui vende più di loro. La qualità del grappling è innegabile – background da élite mondiale – ma Danis vuole far passare un altro messaggio: il suo ingresso non è un affare sportivo, è un affare mediatico.
La corsia preferenziale
Danis non cerca di costruire una carriera, cerca di forzare una porta. Sa che il percorso lineare non gli spetta, che in UFC ci sono decine di fighter più solidi, più costanti, più meritevoli. Ma lui scommette sullo shortcut: farsi notare, creare hype, diventare “il nome” che non puoi ignorare.È un gioco rischioso, ma coerente col personaggio. Nel frattempo, cavalca anche l’opzione Misfits: lo stesso evento ha visto Tony Ferguson battere Salt Papi, e Danis sogna già un duello con lui – un classico “fight-spettacolo” che allinea guadagni e storyline.
“Tony ha vinto, sono contento. Ci siamo parlati, ci siamo detti: andiamo a prenderci i soldi. Io ho detto no a GFL, meglio Misfits. Ma so che lui ci pensa ancora.”
La domanda vera
Non è se Danis possa stare in UFC sul piano tecnico – il grappling ce l’ha, e questo è indiscutibile. La domanda è se la UFC ha ancora bisogno di personaggi come lui, di schegge mediatiche che cercano l’ingresso laterale.In un’epoca in cui la promotion spinge su star globali e mercati nuovi, Danis cerca di posizionarsi come “quello che accende le luci”. Se riuscirà a convincere Dana e i matchmaker, non sarà per i 15 secondi di Las Vegas. Sarà perché avrà reso impossibile ignorarlo.

Die eigenen Grenzen auszuloten, darüber hinaus zu gehen und auch die #Extrameile zu laufen, ist nicht immer einfach - und den inneren Schweinehund zu besiegen auch nicht. Wenn man dann auf die Idee kommt, 42 km durch die alte Heimat zu laufen - und das bei Nacht -, wird man nicht zwingend von begeisterten Mitstreitern empfangen: Der eine besucht spontan eine Hochzeit, der andere ist frisch Vater geworden und der andere... nun ja, der denkt, die Anfrage, den Mammutmarsch im #Ruhrgebiet zu machen, war einfach ein Scherz und sagt einfach gar nichts 😉 !

Eine Challenge gegen den eigenen Körper (trotz des Trainings), gegen einen künstlich erzeugten "Jet"-Lag (19:20 Uhr Start, 05:15 Uhr Ankunft), mit einigen Höhen (387 Treppenstufen hoch zum #Tetraeder in meiner Heimatstadt #Bottrop sind ein Pfund!) und auch einigen nachdenklichen emotionalen Tiefen - es war alles dabei, am Ende aber eine absolut tolle Erfahrung und tolles #Teamwork: Und den #Landschaftspark #Duisburg-Nord im Dunkeln ist einfach etwas, was das Auge nie vergißt!

Die 42 km sind geschafft und die Ersterfahrungen beim #Nachtmammut im Ruhrgebiet (für Außenstehende sicherlich keine schöne Region, für "Einheimische" aber ein Landstrich, der mit dem Herzen und aus Kohle entstanden ist) waren unvergleichlich!
Wenn die Extrameile nur der Standard ist oder nicht ausreicht, muss man auch mal die Schuhe schnüren und die Marathondistanz einfach mal durchwandern - mit der Erkenntnis: 50 km kommen dann beim nächsten Mal, schließlich muss eine Challenge ja auch eine Challenge sein!
Und ja, manchmal muss man einfach das Verrückte wagen! 💪😁

I was searching for YouTube clients on my KDE Plasma Bigscreen GNU/Linux TV box, and found NewPipe, a popular Android YouTube frontend. Turns out this tool is how they moved it over.
Great solution alongside projects like Waydroid, as you can post individual apps to Flathub or other Linux storefronts, rather than needing to install a whole ROM to get your Android apps to appear in your Linux app tray.
It doesn't work like Wine, but I suppose the goal one day is to be able to click .APK files to install like you can with .EXE files with Wine. Currently developers need to integrate it for their (or their favourite open source) apps to install on Linux.
