So fountain pen ink, which has to be thin so as not to clog the workings of the pen, is formulated differently from India ink (like what you use for calligraphy with a dip pen and nib), which has binders that make it a tiny bit thicker and, when dry, more permanent. In my experience, at least, fountain pen ink doesn't work as well for dip pens and in some cases doesn't work at all, as it flows out too much and bleeds and feathers on paper that would otherwise be suitable.
This made me very sad, as there is a far wider range of fountain pen inks. So I got a bottle of gum arabic, a traditional paint binder made from tree sap, and adding just a drop to a little bit of fountain pen ink makes it much more tractable!
A nice side effect is that it makes the sheen in sheening ink really pop.

I've run the beta of cosmic a fair bit, recently been using hyprland but will definitely give this a solid go now. Have updated after each release and the bugs/gaps have been falling away at a good ol pace.

Ein paar Unternehmen sprangen ab, weil sie damit nicht einverstanden waren. Von vielen aber erhielten wir im Support sehr detaillierte Anfragen, dass die Daten auch wirklich nicht in die USA fließen können.
Wir bekamen Vorlagen, die zusammen mit der Rechtsabteilung ausgearbeitet waren, wie wir diese Anfragen beantworten sollten. Die Unternehmen bestanden sehr drängend darauf, wegen "geschäftssensibler Daten", die über ihre Intranets publiziert wurden.
Und von dem, was wir im Support sahen, wenn wir uns bei denen einloggen mussten: Jaha!!
Und da waren damals einige sehr große und viele bekannte Unternehmen aus Deutschland dabei.
Wenn jetzt klar ist, dass der Datenabfluss nicht verhindert werden kann, müsste das eigentlich der Todesstoß für das "Einhorn" sein.
Außer, sie hätten zwischenzeitlich alle Daten wieder zurück in eine deutsche Cloud geholt, das weiß ich aber nicht.
Inzwischen ist es allerdings noch dazu ein "KI-First-Unternemen" ...

Da fällt mir spontan @hetzner ein. Ein Deutsches Unternehmen und die Technik stimmt auch. Wir hatten die Gelegenheit uns vor Ort (einen ihrer Standorte) bei denen um zusehen. Sehr fortschrittlich und zukunftsorientiert.
