@alciregi si però non siamo ancora al livello delle migrazioni da migliaia di persone al giorno come successe 2 anni fa... a parte un paio di giorni "intensi" poi il tutto è tornato sotto controllo stiamo crescendo lentamente e questo è un bene, rispetto alla crescita troppo veloce che ci fu con mastodon.
@pH3ra credo che più che l'alternativa a twitter si stia cercando l'alternativa alle piattaforme di Meta (Instagram e Facebook). Personalmente sono stato dentro questi social criticamente per anni (mea culpa), nel momento in cui è stata chiara la strategia di posizionamento rispetto a Trump mi sono documentato e ho scoperto mastodon, pixelfed e friendica.

HUH? Starting on January 19, 2025 Facebook's internal policy makers decided that Linux is malware and labelled groups associated with Linux as being "cybersecurity threats". Any posts mentioning DistroWatch and multiple groups associated with Linux and Linux discussions have either been shut down or had many of their posts removed.
The sad irony here is that Facebook runs much of its infrastructure on Linux and often posts job ads looking for Linux developers.

@vreer I'm not convinced yet that it is less power hungry. And about open source; I'm curious how much effort it will take to remove the CCP bias. On one hand I despise everything AI, but on the other hand I'm curious if it's possible.
