- a post like that is a scam;
- you should NEVER believe that account; and
- a real cat lover of the Fediverse will never ask you to 'verify your cat' by randomly replies.

I don't want to project human behavior on animals, but my cat Baker keeps bringing in live grasshoppers to my other cat Hunter, like gifts. (Three times now.)
Hunter had a seizure or something yesterday (see Vet Urgent Care post) and was weak and out of it all day yesterday afterwards, but seems to be back to 80+% and still recovering.
Baker seemed totally disinterested in the chaos involving Hunter yesterday.
