Il team di Darklab, la community di esperti di threat intelligence di Red Hot Cyber, ha individuato un annuncio sul marketplace del dark web “Tor Amazon”, l’analogo criminale del celebre e-commerce nel clear web. L’inserzione mette in vendita un archivio senza precedenti: 16 miliardi di credenziali compromesse provenienti da piattaforme di primo piano come Apple, Facebook, Google, Binance, Coinbase e molte altre.
L’offerta, proposta al prezzo di 1 Bitcoin (circa 121.000 dollari), rappresenta una delle raccolte di dati più vaste e diversificate mai apparse nei circuiti underground.
Origine e natura del leak
Secondo l’analisi di Darklab, il pacchetto non deriva da un singolo data breach, ma da 30 raccolte distinte generate attraverso campagne di malware.
Gli attori malevoli avrebbero sfruttato file corrotti e tecniche di ingegneria sociale per infettare i dispositivi delle vittime, raccogliendo credenziali soprattutto da utenti che riutilizzavano password deboli o non attivavano misure di sicurezza avanzate.
Questa caratteristica rende il dataset particolarmente interessante dal punto di vista investigativo, poiché consente di osservare non solo le vulnerabilità delle piattaforme, ma anche le cattive abitudini degli utenti e l’impatto reale del malware sulla sicurezza quotidiana.
Dimensioni e distribuzione geografica
- Volume: le raccolte oscillano tra 16 milioni e 3,5 miliardi di record ciascuna, con una media di circa 550 milioni di credenziali per batch.
- Concentrazione geografica: i dati risultano particolarmente densi in Asia e America Latina, regioni spesso più esposte a violazioni massive per via di infrastrutture digitali meno resilienti e scarsa consapevolezza degli utenti.
- Diversità delle piattaforme: il leak copre ambienti eterogenei – social network, servizi email, piattaforme finanziarie e portali di sviluppo – offrendo una panoramica trasversale delle superfici d’attacco.
Implicazioni per il cybercrime e la ricerca
La vendita su Tor Amazon riflette la crescente minaccia dei marketplace criminali, che replicano logiche tipiche dell’e-commerce legittimo: sistemi di escrow per le transazioni, feedback degli acquirenti, supporto post-vendita.
Per i cybercriminali, i dati rappresentano una risorsa immediatamente monetizzabile attraverso:
- campagne di phishing su larga scala;
- account takeover e frodi finanziarie;
- compromissione di wallet crypto e servizi collegati.
Per i ricercatori e gli analisti, invece, il dataset costituisce una fonte preziosa per:
- studiare i pattern di distribuzione del malware;
- comprendere l’impatto della scarsa igiene digitale;
- delineare trend storici ed economici delle violazioni su scala globale.
Considerazioni finali
La scoperta effettuata da Darklab mette in evidenza come l’ecosistema criminale del dark web stia evolvendo verso modelli sempre più strutturati e competitivi.
Allo stesso tempo, ribadisce la necessità di adottare misure minime di protezione – password manager, autenticazione multi-fattore, monitoraggio continuo delle fughe di dati – che restano ancora le difese più efficaci contro minacce di questa portata.
In questo scenario, l’attività di monitoraggio e analisi condotta da comunità come Darklab si conferma cruciale per portare alla luce fenomeni che, se ignorati, rischiano di compromettere interi ecosistemi digitali.

I have some assorted white clothes, mostly panties, that long ago have lost the whiteness and look sad and crummy now. regular washing with these new types of "oxy" whiteners didn't help. hanging in the sun (whatever little there is) while soaped didn't help. so I decided to try old-fashioned bleach (as in chlorine) and if it damaged the clothes, so be it, wasn't using them anyway.
left the lot soaking in warm water + chlorine for ca. 90min, then washed them in the washing maschine. the result was:
- a small amount of them is now distinctly whiter, especially synthetics
- another small amount wasn't significantly affected
- and the majority of them got pink stains.
among the pink category, some got exactly the elastic band uniformly pinker, while others (like a white bra I used to like) got random stains across the surface.
this got me curious, like it's not the first time I see this, but why *is* it that bleach + white clothes = pink anyway? (continued…)

So the Fado is a portuguese traditional genre which blends melanchonic themes with a strong vocal presence, which is traditionally female.
So they said what, why can't we sing Fado, we've got the skills, and we sure have stuff to say, queer people have it and we want to be represented in the traditional music genres!
And they do it! I love them! I'm all about theatrical music, I'm a bit of drama queer myself, but their voice perfectly carries all the struggles and harshness of life for queer people, I feel the need to sing with them to cathartically expel all the pain and frustrations.
And I'm in a phase of high distrust of men, so they are quite good.

Item no. 72935: Somebody sent me a Sharepoint link which required I click a button for a one-time login code - I accidentally went too deep in the SP folder & clicked browser back, which caused a "resend form" event & a new login code from SP, which clearly thougt I'd been logged out, except I wasn't.
Doesn't seem very secure to me.

Wir machen uns hier alle Gedanken um die Umwelt und dann wird mit Steuergeldern die Meyer Werft unterstützt und die baut riesige Kreuzfahrtschiffe.
Die neue Rekordhalterin, die Star of the Seas" von Royal Caribbean, das zweite Schiff der Icon Klass, ist gerade zu ihrer Jungfernfahrt aufgebrochen. In der Maximalbelegung wären 7600 Passagier*innen möglich, bei Doppelbelegung der Kabinen sind es 5600.
Das dritte Schiff ist im Bau, es ist die neue Legends of the Seas und ein weiteres ist in Planung. Alle werden mit LNG betrieben.

Ob da eins Spaß dran hat und das mit dem Gewissen vereinbaren kann, muss eins mit sich selber ausmachen.
Aber ich finde es fraglich, dass eine mit staatlichen Geldern gerettete Werft sowas baut.

Es sei erwähnt, dass mit dieser Schiffsklasse einige Innovationen bei der Antriebstechnik realisiert werden:
Die Kreuzfahrtschiffe dieser Klasse setzen auf einen vergleichsweise emissionsarmen Antrieb durch Brennstoffzellen und Flüssigerdgas.
Das reicht natürlich noch nicht, geht aber in die richtige Richtung und ein Weg beginnt immer mit dem ersten Schritt.
@feb Ja, das auf alle Fälle. Schifffahrt wird auch ein Baustein im Kampf gegen den Klimawandel sein.
Aber diese Riesenschiffe bringen ja noch mehr Probleme mit sich als nur CO2.
Moin @feb , wie kann denn ein Schiffsantrieb mit LNG - bekanntlich fossil und unter großen Schmerzen für Umwelt, Natur und lebende Spezies produziert - innovativ, also gut sein?
Wirklich progressiv und klimafreundlich wären Segel. Vortrieb mit Windenergie. Und Stromversorgung mit Photovoltaik.
Vielleicht ist das auch Thema bei den Hamburg Cruise Days am kommenden Wochenende bzw. bei der Gegenveranstaltung
