I keep meaning to deploy a hugo blog and start writing about my #mastodon adventures. Relays, #fedibuzz and hashtags will feature heavily. It's been a lot of fun so far!

I’d leafed quickly past it originally, but some instinct made me turn back. The thought that I’d close the book, place it back on the shelf, maybe get it down again once a year or so, and quite possibly never look upon those faces again, was suddenly overwhelmingly unbearable to me.

Someday I’ll die, and the books on my shelf will be dispersed – to library or landfill, who knows. Within some finite span of years, the same thing will happen to every copy of “City of Darkness” ever printed, every server on which these images exist as patterns in data, every flat-file in which the originals are kept.
