I guess that, unfortunately, those laws do not contain the circumstances under which they we're installed, do they? The buttons that had been pushed to bring them to life? So, though I'm not an expert, I'm afraid you cannot just not abide to these laws, just because these circumstances have changed. Legally spoken.
But don't get my wrong: I hope that goverments worldwide would nonetheless do that. I loved every inch of Doctorow's 39c3-talk.

Giovedì 29 gennaio, dalle ore 11:00 alle 12:30, si terrà il webinar «L’intelligenza artificiale e il nostro sé più intimo: lettura delle esperienze cinesi in un discorso interculturale», co-sponsorizzatodall’Ufficio a Roma della Georgetown University, dalla Scuola di Studi Orientali e Africani (SOAS, Università di Londra), da La Civiltà Cattolica e dal China Forum for Civilizational Dialogue.
Le applicazioni dell’intelligenza artificiale sono diventate parte integrante della nostra vita quotidiana, trasformando il nostro luogo di lavoro, l’accesso e l’uso dei servizi e l’erogazione dell’istruzione nelle scuole. Più recentemente, l’intelligenza artificiale è entrata lentamente anche nella nostra sfera più privata, influenzando le relazioni interpersonali, guidando le emozioni e plasmando la nostra vita spirituale.
Questo China Forum esplorerà l’impatto dell’intelligenza artificiale sul nostro sé più intimo, affrontando questioni e casi di studio che spaziano dall’assistenza sanitaria all’esperienza religiosa, discutendo i vantaggi e le preoccupazioni. Nonostante l’attenzione particolare rivolta al mondo cinese e alla cultura asiatica, i relatori affronteranno anche questioni generali, rilevanti per un discorso interculturale.
